  1. POI told me that they are checking with the government fellowship issue and that this process is making the delays in their offer extension. :upset: I also understand that it is too early to conclude hastily but I cannot help myself being anxious about the situation.
  2. I am wondering whether this situation could affect the number of offer slots. For instance, the problems in government fellowship might lead the schools to give less offers, not to extend their declined slots to the waitlisted students..
  3. I got an email from POI that I am wait listed as the program gives only two offers in this year.. Although this program is one of my best choices, I still have other opportunities to choose.. How much could I rely on this suggestion? Although the POI sent me an generous mail that they are impressed with my activities, it is difficult for me to bear the uncertainty.. I would like to ask current phd students and other candidates, how should I handle this situation. :cold:
  4. Eventually Waitlisted. I think I should wait and wish good luck. I got a mail that I am wait listed and final decision depends on the third offer from the school or on the decision from other candidates.. Although this is not an admission letter, at least I should not lose my hope! Thank you for the kind reply.
  5. Actually, this was my second interview with this program. So it makes me feel that I failed to pass their second hurdle. Anyway.. I think I should prepare for other opportunities as you said. Thank you for the kind reply!
  6. I feel really depressed. Just had an interview with faculties and it was shorter than other experiences. Seems like the senior faculties are not interested in my research. Asking no question to me.. I prepared a lot for this interview but it finished after 20 minutes. As this school is one of my best choices, this is frustrating. I wish I could do better in other interviews..
