  1. UFL. Don't think twice about it. USC is a great school, but I believe UFL is just better :)
  2. I think those univs are OK. Possibly UCI and USC are a little harder to get in. Your GRE scores may seem a little bit in the low side, but your extensive research experience will probably outcome them... so, don't worry, you'll do fine. Wish you the best, Luis.
  3. Hi. I agree with you guys. I think it depends on the degree you are applying for. In my case, I'm applying for an MS and my recommenders are one guy with a Ph.D. and the other two guys with MS...

    GRE Math 4

This is a nice one. You just have to think how would the code look like and how many possibilities you have for each character. Let's figure it out: Code: "AA999" As have 26 possibilites each (count every letter from A to Z) 9s have 10 possibilities each So you just multiply: 26*26*10*10*10 = 676*1000 = 676.000 The answer is "B". However, the thousands separator is misplaced so it may get a little confusing. Good luck.
  5. Hi, Your GRE scores are awesome. That'll definitely give a good impression. Also, your profile seems far stronger than the average MS applicant's. I'm sure you've got a good chance at those schools you classify as "Ambitious" :). Wish you the best, Luis.
  6. Hi, I think you should not worry. I graduated in 3 years and have met people from my school who got in top US grad schools :) this is mainly because our academic calendar runs during the entire year and my major has a total of 139 credits. Also, you've got a nice profile. I'm pretty sure your degree won't be a problem. Wish you the best, Luis.
  7. Dragon-Z: Well, I don't think it's an excellent grade... but the only thing I can tell you is: practice, practice and practice! try to understand how excersises are put and how the answers are organised; also, don't forget the listening part... try to focus on understanding the american accent: music and movies w/o subtitles help a lot, believe me! Wish you the best in your test, Luis.
  8. Congratulations! UT Austin is a great school. It's ranked top10 in CS and some other fields :). Wish you the best, Luis.
  9. Ritwik, Great job! wish you the best at UFL! Luis
  10. Tonykevin, Surprisingly, I received my score report today. So, I think yours won't last too much. Be patient! :) Wish you the best, Luis.
  11. Tonykevin, I received my scores through phone... why don't you call them? Luis.
  12. Injenera, Thanks and congratulations! :). Well, as far as I know it's a good score... you should check the requirements for admission at those european universities. Some of them don't require a TOEFL score report because TOEFL is mainly for north american universities. Wish you the best, Luis.
  13. Hi. Congratulations, great score! Can't you tell us a bit more about your profile? (Undergraduate GPA, LORs, SOP and Research Experience) and which universities do you plan to apply to? Also, tell us about your intended degree (M.S. or Ph.D.). Good luck!
  14. Hey dude, I'm gonna party too... have fun!
  15. Heya! Dude, this thread is funny :p you seem to be very motivated... hope you do well in grad school. :grad:
