  3. If its a derivative how can it be cultivated. The sentece says that the Madagaskar periwinkle ( a plant ) is cultivated and its derivative has proved useful in decreasing mortality among young leukemia patients. So the answer should be E.

  10. I dont think there is a modifier problem with "A". In 1905, is just a perpositional phrase which tell when those two people began their work. Please correct me if i am wrong here. My POE: B and D are out because they use only armed and not armed only. Tell me if this reasoning is right. E is out due to its poor construction. We are left with C and A. I liked C for its clear and precise construciton. So marked C Please comment.

  13. IMO : E . A says ongoing maintenance. IMO, ongoing is superfluous. B wrong C in maintain ( sounds incorrect ) D the sentence will become " should help in to maitain ".....wrong. so, E. What is OA.
  14. FYI... The number of is singular as is "The number of arrests are increasing every year..." for plural form we use " A number of", as in "A number of people were present "... IMO: The numbers of ...is wrong.
