Hey, Its been nice going thru this thread... Few doubts.. > Having GPA of around 2.6 ( 58% ) in BS computer science (India), hurt ? Even when i have 680-720 gmat and MS computer science 3.2 gpa (USA) with 2 year workex (USA) ? > I am from India, My ultimate thing in next 5 years from now is to get into a good Bschool ... if i am not ambitious top 20 precisely . > I have got admit from USC for MS computer science( total 40k$ fee ,no aid.), since its costly and also as i want to do MBA.. i want to save this money for bschool. Few others which are not even listed in top 100 USnews, nor have phd in the field of computer science . have offered me full fee waiver for MS in computer science . My question... Does the school which is not so reputed can hurt my chances of admit in BSCHOOL...??? even me have a good gpa then like 3.3 above. > does my MS school matter for getting into bschool... thanks in advance.. ram

Hi Tmians... Yeah .. Just wondering about these doubts for a while.. then thought... i need help.... There are many people with similar profile... at our college. (around 12 - 20) Profile : BS into Final Yr now. (Computer Science ) Acads all around 60% since 10th grad . 5 Technical Papers at National Level Fests.( All in Computers Field) 1 Sports Merit. RedHat Certified Professional ( Was Interested in LInux so took it up) Recommendations would not be storng , But would just look like them. Gre - 1300 awa-5 tof -will be givin.ibt. Yeah....profile doesnt impress anyone.. But.. need to do with it. Will be taking up one more Certification...for career purpose. *** Want to get into decent uni where i can get financial help...at MAX. Please advise me....Need a Great Help!! *** 1)CAN u please please list the universities for CS where my profile wud be acceptable and when Shall I apply...(in view with keeping financial help ) Thanks in Advance.... Yeah... Use (Internet Explorer Or FireFox) with Flash .....Set ur Security level in Browser Preference to Medium.And Dont Use any pop up blocker, and Enable ActiveX in Brower Preferences. Thax.... TM Rocks..!
