  1. I applied and haven't heard yet, last year I got HM but they sent it in a letter.
  2. It depends if your Domestic or an International applicant, they don't offer conditional admission to International applicants.
  3. For engineering, your Math Score is too low, it needs to be closer to 800Q, but no less than 740~750, which I think is the 80th percentile.
  4. Look for yourself: http://www.engr.sjsu.edu/mae/
  5. I did exactly that. I was offered a lucrative job and I managed to also get in to a PhD program with full-funding, so I asked to defer my admission to Fall 2007, so that I can work for another year to become financially stable. The Dept. Head didn't have a problem with it and completely understood. I believe financial issues are one of the reasons that you can defer admission for up to one year, but make sure that's the case at that school.
  6. I was going to UTA for this past academic year for MS in MATH.
  7. FYI, usually UTA is University of Texas at Arlington and UT is University of Texas at Austin.
  8. For NDSEG, I would definitely call, because they will be announcing awards on or about March 31, which is next friday, because they started matching stuff up on Jan. 30, and should have finished a while ago. For NSF, I heard that it will be on a late Friday afternoon in late March, so that leaves this friday and next friday.
  9. What fellowships did everyone apply to, I know many are for U.S Citizens (if not all ??)? I'm just curious.
  10. I asked the secretary of the graduate program I was applying if I could send 2 extra LORs, one from my current institution and one from my job where I'm an engr., and she said SURE!! So, I suggest just asking the graduate coordinator/secretary, however, I've been working here for almost a year.
  11. Re-test or attend a graduate school that doesn't require GRE scores. Personally, I would re-test for CS your quantitative is waaay too low. UTA even requires a min. of 700 on the Quans.
  12. Did you use these numbers? 1-888-GRE SCORE (1-888-473-7267) U.S., U.S. Territories,* and Canada 1-609-771-7290 All other locations I know one person said that they had dialed the number wrong, and had forgot to dial 001-888.... instead of 1-888 when making an international call.
