  1. I am doing my engg in electronics and communication from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University (MP). My gre scores are verbal 690, quanta 760 awa 4.5. my toel 277. Till now (6th sem) my aggregate is 65%. I have two paper presentations on CDMA and Neural networks( none at IIT level). I did my training in CDMA and its installation. Police Wireless communication networkCurrently I am working on our final yr project on character reorganization by neural networks using matlab and intelligent railway crossing. I want to do my MS in communication, wireless. I am pretty confused about where do I stand. My acads are not in excellent category. I am planning a few more projects on wireless itself. Thanks Swapnil Goyal

  7. thanks every one! i hope my quant score is sufficient. wel i did not get any word out of barons (in antonyms) i did get a few of them in SCs and analogies. timing is the key master that. I could see that in quanta. about prep you know the shades of the meanings, its important. Pbts are a great help do them and also i felt that reading P.G WODEHOUSE helps too his use of commas is good and helps decipher the SC structure. and yes quanta is not very tough except a few questions but get your timing right. develop a strategy. thanks every one who helped me and ertda who read my crap issues.
  8. finally over. well disappointed with my quant.i am doing myit engineering and i feel that a quanta 780 would have been idealany ways have to live with . well i lacked time in quanta and a li'll in verbal too i could not get my 1st RC! btw it was my 8 ques both inference took a loooooong 7 mins in 1 rc yes seven mins. i agree dat be calm and composed. i tried but jittery. verb section is easy n qunata is a bit tuff wat can i say i got only 760 nevertheless master ur timing it is the key. i had to catch my train to bhopal but this flood in Andra delayed the train, so stuck up in delhi....any ways i m open to advices( if you really think i can be of some help) what are my chances any comments? tc

  16. "In order to produce successful original work, scholars and scientists must further study the successful work of others to learn what contribututions remain to be made." In order to produce successful original works, it is imperative, that scientists and scholars study and learn from the works of others , but, contrary to the authors view, irrespective of the fact that they were a success or a failure. Also, it need not be a extension to the previous works of scientists and scholars, and can represent, a scholars or scientists own totally different, perspective. Refering to the most fast and rapid developments in this era in the field of computer engineering, we observer that the technology used today is striking different from that initially developed technology of vacuum tubes. Earlier developments in the computer made use of the charles babbges initial computing maching, which, served as the basis of further developments of vacuum tube based computers. The now used silicon chips bear no resemblence to the vacuum tubes but derive their basic technology from them. Similarly the now researched carbon transistors are a step ahead of the silicon chips and is a new venture altogether. Copernicous broke the conventional patina and came up with his maverick theory of Copernican system, the theory that the planets revolve around the sun and that the turning of the earth on its axis from west to east accounts for the apparent rising and setting of the stars: basis of modern astronomy. His finding were not developments in the direction of widely held belief that earth is the centre of the universe, and created a revolution in itself. Similarly, the theory of general relativity put forward by Albert Einstein is unprecedented and redefines the hitherto held beliefs about the absolute time. But to argue that it as a hypothesis, though unprecidented, does not bear its roots in classical physics, postulated by newton, is false, as Einstein's thesis stems from the basics of classical physics and without the knowledge of classic physics it might have been possible that Einstien could never have developed his theory. Failures play there part too. Their contribution to the formation of new methods and theories cannot be overlooked. The recent explosion of the Columbia shuttle while reentering the earth's atmosphere can be regarded as a failure or a setback for the researchers, but it did teach, and throw light upon the flaws present in the system that needed expidient solutions, and the recent successful safe return of second space shuttle underscores the importance of learning from debacles. Thus, failures often provide valuble information about what not to do and precautions to be taken. Hence, it can be seen that the earlier, failed as wel as successful works, both play there parts toward a better result.A scientists or scholars work may not conform or augment other successful works but the without their study it would be almost impossible to carry on new works. thanks ps: plz advice how to conclude. I am confused
