hai srinivas, Be optimistic.u have improved ur score from ur first attempt.It's a good omen. If u have good academic records,recos and financially sound just apply to uni.If u wanna get aid then try GRE again.First time i got (300/760).I am planning to appear again buddy.Moreover if u have good TOEFL score u can apply to other countries. Hai shoaibakram, First of all thankx alot for ur response. U haven't told about ur stream, C.G.P.A and ur college.As I have observed My friends who has good score like u didn't get an admission in the mentioned unis cos they r from small and new colleges. I think still other factors like recos, research papers and SOPS matter alot.So it will be very much helpful if u share about ur expeience for u and me and all. Success is a journey not a destination.

Hai friends, I started my G.R.E preparation from july 1st week.I started reading without applying for G.R.E.My friend vasan told me to apply early but i neglected his words thinking that i can get date in october.I finished wordlist by aug end.So i was overconfident that i can easily get a good score in G.R.E. I was regular for t.m for one month.Then again i stopped my revision (not serious) for 2 monthes .Of course i was busy with my proj work.So i didn't thought abt the real pattren of G.R.E. I applied for G.R.E in october 1st week.I resumed my prepararation in october but was not much serious about that.Always i was in an illusion that i can answer without testing me on time to time.I became serious in the last 15days from oct 25th.Then too i was practicing Guru's wordlist.I was satisfied with my performance in that software. One bewildering thing is i never got below 400 in verbal in practice test . i got 360-440 in 7 practice tests.I was utterly confused to see the questions in G.R.E exam.I daliy practiced Guru's wordlist and some antonym exercises expecting that they will surely help me.But i was wrong in my interpreatations.It has been proved by my disastrous score in verbal.I think one more reason would be i got quant first in the exam.So, i did quant well . It was pretty easy except a DT and one SD questions.I hope i have guessed 3 -5 questions without solving.But i didn't expect it would be 760.I expected it would 720-750.Verbal section i was even muddled ro answer the antonyms which i prepared daily in Guru's.It was capricious u know.I was logging a lot.I just zipped through the R.C.I couldn't manage my time for R.Cs.I practised R.Cs from barrons .That too in the lost one week.I didn't understand what went wrong with me.I never expected below 400 in the vrbal.But i was landed on 300.It had really disappointed me friends. Focus on the R.Cs and SCs. So,friends don't do the mistake i did.Stay focussed on ur goal. thanks to all tc members for keeping this wonderful forum.

Hai simple 2005, If m parallel lines are intersected by n parallel lines , how many paralellograms can be formed , in terms of m and n? The answer is (m-1)*(n-1) Let me explain it u.If m=2, n=2 then (2-1)(2-1) paralellograms can be formed. If m=3 ,n=3 then also (3-1)*(3-1)=4 paralellograms can be formed. If m > 3 ,n=3 then also (4-1)*(3-1)=6 paralellograms can be formed.

Hai friends, i am again revising barroins word list now, But now I am feeling very easy.I suggest u who want to improve the vocabulary , just make a example which can be remembered.Make an example, associate with a picture or well known thing /person. Ex:PARVENU: LITERAL MEANING IS A PERSON WHO HAS DEVELPOED WITH OUT PUTTING MUCH HARDWORK OR BY SHEER LUCK. I associated with a person well known to me who had earned a lot of money just by his fate/luck is good. Surreptitious:secretly Our honorable P.M is some what surrepttitious in the nuclear energy issue with the U.S. I hope now, i am clear to u.The above mentioned meaning r not exactly given in barrons, or Dictionary.I want to remember the words in a very short form. Hi, I would suggest u to finish barrons first.It has excellent practicing material. As vasan mentioned forst know ur weakness and turn it in to ur strength. "I haven't found even a single probability question in princeton &cambridge practice tests."But, have a glance at it.Remember the deciding factor is ur verbal test.However u will do well quant with little prep. practice the barrrons word list as many times as u can.Take at least 10 Practice tests before appearing for the Exam?? Hai, U undersrood my doubt partly. My doubt is "can we use the word the author in writing any argument?."In ur case it is reasonable as it is fron a textbook. For instace,If we have an argument from a speech of politician then how shall we address?? Btw I want to know how u r preparing for AWA section as well as verbal &quant??
