  2. In Situation 1, x - z is negative and so |x - z| = z - x: In Situation 2, x - z is positive and so |x - z| = x - z Can someone explain me in detail, how to approach absolute value above. In the above example I can understand after seeing and plug-in some numbers that |x-z| = z-x. Please help me to find a way to get these concepts clearly and quickly. Thanks G

  4. Question - How stmt 1 is sufficient? From 'a' it says if x is in X, then 1/x is also in S. But it does not say if 1/x is in S, then X is also in S. so 3 may be in S or 1/x is there by itself in S. Please clarify
  5. Hi tamGmat, Is the math tougher than GMATPrep. If so, what areas are tougher. Can you throw some light on it. I re-appearing for the exam next tueday and I am getting somewhere 46 - 48 in Math with around 10-12 mistakes. I am trying to get the number of mistakes to below 5.   6. I have a question about A eventhough that answer sounds better. The non underlined part of the sentence uses their descendetns ... had migrated. Here why it is using a past perfect? Release is the first action and decendents migrated is the second action. Please someone help - 800Bob if can answer that would be great. Thanks G

So overall prob = 1/5*1/2 = 1/10. Thanks
