    Guyz its a really basic one... Its more like a sucker punch from ETS.... Area of DBC = 1/2 * CD * BC = 1/2

Elena completed 11/18 of job so Andy did only 7/18 of it................(1) Lets assume that Elena got $ x foe the job n Andy got $ y, given already that x - y = 154 from eqn (1)... we have (11/18-7/18)p = 154 where p is the rate at which both were paid... on calculations we get p = 693... Hope it helps.........

  7. The total number of possible orders of finish is 5! = 120. Half of the possible orders have John ahead of Bill, and half of them have John after Bill. So... 120/2 = 60. So the answer is D...

Question 1: translate the job into man*hour, you get 60 mh; between 11am and 5pm, with 6 men, 36mh done, and there's 24mh left. in the next hour, 7mh will be done, the one after next, 8mh, and the one after next 9mh.. so it will take 3 additional hours to finish the job. .'. 7 + 8 + 9 = 24 mh Thus the answer is E.

  13. 1). A Stmnt 1: works just fine with both -ve and +ve values of k.... Suff... Stmnt 2: Works fine with +ve vale but not with -ve values of k.... Insuff...
