  1. Agree with Thankont.... points integral means ... x & y will be integral values
  2. Actually it shd be A as B makes a wrong comarison in the end between the Pain relieving effect with morphine where it shd use the pain releiving effect like morphine's as correctly used in A.
  3. Agree with the above explaination
  4. I think the answer shd be C . My approach is as follws: 60 = 2*2*5*3 A) a+b = 8 so a= 5 & b=3 or a=6 and b=2 in both cases a+b = 8 a+b+C= 12 and 13 resp. A is INSUFF B) a&b odd integers so they can be 15 & 1 and c=4 in tht case or it can be a=5 b=3 and c = 4 in that case - Insuff . Combining together gives us A+B =8 with both odd integers ...
  5. Is the Ans - B ... I guess the question is good .... not very difficult and not very easy ....moderate....(hope my ans is correct!!!)
  6. I think the ans will be B as the sentence starts by telling about what hot sauces do, here it becomes the modifier for Hot sauces thus Hot sauces shd follw immediately ...so abc are left and then B as C says - hot sauces and exercise stimulate... Not too sure if u guys will agree
  7. (E) An American maker of frozen foods advertises its dinners as “Real European-style entrees prepared by fine French and Italian chefs.” So as far as it is American maker of food prepared in European style it would have been fine but being prepared by Fine french and Italian Chefs - who are not the people who are specialised to do so ie. prepare European food ..... this is the only catch here
  8. will go with E. In ABC the 'it' is not required. So left wth D&E ...so E is better gramatically. Whats the OA
  9. Will Go with (2) .... just as.............. so.
  10. Collateral here means the Security that is submitted to the lender so that he can cover uppp his risk incase u falter in your payment
  11. Thanks got it. Just one more question: If B= 0 then in tht case 10(1.00)^2 = 10.0000 and here the thousanths digit =0 and for (1.00)^2= 1.00000 here the tenths digit is =0 , this is also satisfying the equation. Could you lease ellaborate...
  12. The question stem is saying that since the two grous are different there is a need of a distinct psychology for the older age group , but B says that since each member of the second age grou (ie.old age grp) has already been a member of the first age group that is- the previous age group , then the two should not be treated differently ...and thus trying to say that the psychology that works for one will also work for the other one ..... I hope this helps!!!! Whenever two groups of people are so related to each other that any member of the second group must previously have been a member of the first, people in the first group should not be regarded simply as deviant members of the second group.
  13. I also go with B , when left with B & E in the end - I think E is trying to say that since 25% of the birds are killed before they nest or breed for the first time , but still this doesnot conclude why the remaining 75 are still not as successful as there senior birds are or why they are more successful in their second attempts ...
  14. can nybody please exlain y is D wrong
  15. Can anyone please let me know a better aproach for this one. This question might have been discussed earlier , but some how I have not been able to find the better way of solving this question If b is an integer and b 1). 1 2). The thousandth's digit of 10X^2 is equal to the tens's digit of x^2 Thanks
  16. The author makes an irrelevant attack on Professor Branch’s credentials. - I would have not chosen A as in a way 1 is also implying 4 - as it says there has been an attack on her credentials , so just because she is not a phy. doesnot mean she will not understand it, so we are assuming that she much be well acquinted with the subject which is directly given in 4. The author may not be a physicist, and may therefore not be acquainted with the writings cited. Even the US Air Force cannot explain all of the sightings of UFOs which are reported to it each year. A sociologist is sufficiently well educated to read and understand scientific literature in a field other than her own. It is impossible to get complete agreement on matters such as the possibility of life on other planets.
  17. My answer is D: and aproach is as follows:- First we need to understand that there are two simultaneous actions that are taking place - Rate of addition will drop while the rate of loss will rise, so when there are two different rates we cannot use a pronoun for the rate of loss. - So the answer will be only option D. Hope this hels , apart from this A& C use those for Singular rates and B uses it - which referes to rate of addition where we need the rate of loss.
  18. agree to the above: The question says that the perimeter of the rectangle is 18 by sqrt (2), I did the question assuming P=18/sqrt (2) and got the perimeter of each as 6. As per my understandng 18 by sqrt(2) means 18 divided by sqrt (2).
  19. for the third one my approach is as follows: We know the sum is a1+a2+a3+ ...an = 350 and each term is either 7 or 77. So we can assume the number of terms that are 7 = x and the number of terms that 77 = x1 and so n= (x1+x) Now this can be written as : (7x+77x1) = 350 taking 7 common and cancelling we are left with - (x+ 11x1)= 50 so we know the sum should be a multile of 2, and 5 so 40 is the only option
  20. I got the answer as 42. My approach is as follows: Since the dart is divided in 8 parts the score could be anything from 1 - 8 numbers but the toal should add upto 16 so for each no. the options are as follows: (1,7,8) (2,6,8) (2,7,7) (3,6,7) (3,8,5,) (4,6,6) (4,8,4) 4,5,7) ( 5,6,5) So for sets where none of the numbers are repeated the total possible combinations are 6 and for the sets where 2 nos are repeated there combination = 3 ... so adding all ( 5* 6) +(4*3) = 42
