  4. Thanks Hygeian for the advise. I hope you keep visiting the forum to help.
  5. Hi hygeian, your posts are very honest and inspiring. Did you just study for 4 weeks or did you keep reading during your internship? Any tips for learning/studying during internship? In FL we have 2080hr long internship, I'm just worried I don't forget my FPGEE studied part in this time, and since NAPLEX is still a while away, am not studying at all...so do advise any suggestions to learn/study during internship. Congrats and goodluck for your next step!
  6. I submitted my assignments within 10 days of completing 500 hrs of internship-as required by the FL board. I have received an acknowledgement of receipt of the assignments, but don't know if the board rejects the assignments. My preceptor was proud of my work in creating the assignments, but you never know how the board will react. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Does other states have assignments to be sent to the board?
  7. you guys are so lucky! Walgreens is not hiring at all in FL.:(
  8. hi rimini and amy6688, I don't know about any changes, but thanks for the info-is it for tse only or anything more?? I am glad there are some more Fl interns, just wanted to say "hi". I am just done with 550 hrs as yet. I got an updated work manual from the board when they accepted my assignments. I'll look thro' that for more info. and write back if I find something.
  9. well, if you're lucky you get paid that high..I have heard that some have to work voluntarily-for free, intern position is not easy to get.
  10. hi, I am not with CVS but, does the board communicate back whenever your supervisor sends details of hours? Did any of you complete your assignments? Interns, pls write.

  19. pharmacist2005, this is very intersting to know about TX board. I went on their website, but couldn't figure out what forms to fill. Can you advise? Also, When do you declare to transfer the score, after your results or on your application form for the test??? If FL and TX also reciprocates the score, do you think I could do the same??? How can I confirm this, whom can I contact-TX board or...? And where did you take the NABPLEX from, did you have to be physically in TX for the test? Goodluck and thank you!
  20. hi floridapharm08, welcome to the florida intern problems! It is a hard struggle to find internship here. I would say, keep trying and also focus on FPGEE studies, if you still have to clear it. As far as I know, technician hours do not count towards intern hours. I found one place to work as an intern after 2-3 months of search, even when I had greencard, FPGEC and intern license!!! Let me know if you have any other Questions.
  21. hi annitta and ni123, there is a lot of info about test day already posted on this forum, but am answering since you still have this confusion. I took my test in NY in dec'07 and the test was in a huge hall. The front area was used to leave our overcoats and bags. We had to leave our cell phones in the bag there. There were some supervisors who got mad at me for bringing cell phone to the test hall, but I told without becoming afraid that I am travelling from another state, how can I travel without a cell phone, and I had nowhere to leave it. I had checked out of hotel that morning so I had my small bag too. We had to leave everything in the front area--unattended--there were no lockers given. I and many others were concerned about our stuff, but it all went ok, nobody lost anything. We were given large ziplock bags to keep our wallet, id, exam ticket and were given 2 pencils. We had to leave our wrist watch in our bags too, there were several big clocks placed at every few rows. It was funny about toilet breaks, that you had to take turns with a toilet pass. And yes, in the lunch break we were free to meet our friends in or out of the exam room. My experience comes from NY, other centers had it different than us, so keeping minimum stuff is best, but like me, if you have to keep some more stuff, you've got to take your chance. Most of all, reach the test center atleast 20-25 min early as there was a looong queue to get inside, once you get your seat, visit the toilet and relax before the test starts. Goodluck to all of you!
  22. hi ninah, I have started my internship in Fl. Finally I got a place to start, it's a private pharmacy. CVS said NO. I wonder if you would like to share your experiences with me. Which state are you in? Just asking so I can discuss if our assignments to the board are same. My friend did it with CVS and she was lucky that the CE courses etc and NAPLEX preparation were supported by CVS. She loved it.
  23. Hi, luckily I just got one! Thank God, after a long internship-hunt! Believe me, I didnot expect finding a place to work as an intern could be sooooo bad. It's a long way, 2080 hrs to go!
  24. I was also wondering how to look for state's negative formulary and detailed laws. May be there is a state law book for each state. Experienced colleagues, pls advise. BTW did you start your internship?
  25. great Amar, congratulations and thanks for the tips. Did you study harder than for FPGEE? how much was your preparation time for NAPLEX? Which test you think is more stressful? Please if you could, write the full names and editions of the books you mentioned.
