  1. I tried adding some score recipients and after entering all the details I got this message: "Processing: do not click the refresh or back button or your transaction may be interrupted". It has already happened to me when I registered for the test, but now I switched to Windows Vista and I have IE7. Should I go back to IE6 in order for it to work?

    Toefl Pbt

Do you guys know how much time we'll have to wait for PBT TOEFL scores to come out?
  3. I agree. I took a look at it and it's definitely a waste of time. Any test is better than that one.

    Writing section

I don't know if this is the right section but I couldn't find a 'writing' one. I've been practicing in writing essays and I noticed that for the integrated task I usually write 260-270 words instead of 150-225 as indicated in the directions. Is this ok or should I try to remain within the limit (225 words)? Thank you
  6. I'm taking the exam next saturday as well. Many are anxious for the speaking task so you're not the only one. I'd suggest that if you don't have anyone to speak english with, that you'd just try answering the questions you find in the prep books without stressing yourself over the time. After a couple of questions start timing yourself but don't panic if you run out of time. Just concentrate on the question. As for the reading task, I personally don't find the passages difficult (SAT passages are difficult!). Anyway, if you're stuck on a question, don't linger on it more than necessary. Go on, try answering the questions that you find more easy and then you can always come back to answer those left blank. Remember though that you don't lose any point for a wrong answer so even if you're unsure about an answer or you simply don't know it, just guess - don't leave it blank! Good luck on your exam!

    Free SAT tests?

    here's another one: sparknotes
  8. I took the SAT last january and scored 800 on CR. I don't really know how to give you advice but I can tell you that I didn't study the vocab list mainly because I didn't have time... I found two words I was not familiar with but then after re-reading a couple of lines I understood the meaning. I'd advise you to first take a look at the questions and try aswering the ones asking for a word or sentence's meaning - then you can move on to the general questions after having quickly read the passage. I didn't practice a lot. I used Barron's, read their tips on each section of the test, then I took the practice tests. You just need to focus on the passage and don't let anything distract you.
  9. thanks for replying. i'll definitely check the petition
  10. This morning I registered for the iBT. I followed the registration process, put in credit card number and then another window with the word 'processing' appeared. It's been 4 hours already and I don't know what to do. Has any of you had a similar problem?
