I got my rescore after 2 weeks. You should contact ETS now.

Today, I got my rescore result. My speaking leaped from 19 to 23. My total score is 103, which is enough for the program I want to apply. So, I am done with TOEFL!

This is an excellent score. Congratulation! Could you please explain for us what is your strategy to get high mark on Speaking? I only got 20, 19 and 19 for three attempts and I just couldn't figure out how to improve it. Thank you for your help!

My speaking is only 19, the total is 99. I need 100 for my medical license. I faxed the form for the rescore. Hope I can gain one point.

I am also waiting for my May 9 result and also need 100. It should come out soon.

Did anybody take iBT test on Feb 15? I did in Vancouver and I feel super hard for the reading section. This is my second try. Compared to the first time, which is on Dec 9, 08, this time reading is unbelievably difficult. The rest of test yesterday is fine for me. Does anybody have similar feeling about the test?

Rescore your speaking section.

Rescore your speaking. From other parts of your result, I can tell you are an excellent student. It's impossible for you just getting 3 for speaking. There must be technical problem for that part

I borrowed the book with CD-ROM and audio CDs from library.

I think I wasted 50 dollars for The Complete Guide book. I only can use CD-ROM.

You should go back to library asking librarian. I got the book from library and CDs as well.

I bought Thomson book from Amazon. But I find out that there are no answers and CD for that book. So, I only used CD-ROM. I don't know where I can get the answers and CD. It seems this book has lots of different versions.

I saw lots of people who did rescore gained 3-4 points. Why not to try? Only 50 dollars.

Hi, there: Don't feel too bad. I guess you didn't prepare much for iBT. The most important skill for listening section is note-taking skill. Barron's TOEFL iBT book is a good tool to learn this skill. Official Guide book can make you familiar with the format. Try these two books first. You will find a big change after these two books. Other useful books are Longman, Delta, Thompson, Cambridge etc. If you have enough time, go through all of them.

Barron's book is an excellent book for TOEFL preparation, except intergrated writing. But in academic skill chapter, Barron's book teaches us how to put two different resources together, which is very useful skill for TOEFL test and for study in univeristy.

I think it is similar to GRE. When you register online, ETS will supply names of different institutes you can choose and you also get one report.

If you check OG book, you may find the answer there. Converted score 30 which is received by test taker may come from a range of raw score. I can not remember what exactly appears on the book. Maybe like this: 34-36 raw score converts to 30 on the report.
