agreed with u guys.. but to all the options seem to be incorrect, hence the confusion. I remember reading, the part of the sentence after the ; should be able to stand alone, should be a complete sentence in itself which doesnt seem to be a case with option 'C' (guys, correct me if I am wrong). those refers to the unions, that can be established only after reading the rest of the sentence,the first part of the sentence is what i am talking about.
