  2. very much helpful resource. even math gene.. would find it helpful
  3. well, i can tell you one thing for sure. you are not alone. there are tens of thousands of people either below your level or at the same level. (i contacted the director of a leading business school(among best 50 in the world) to clear the doubts i had on GMAT. I quote' Many of our students have taken the test more than once. We will consider the highest score. i hope it sums up the story!
  4. ok nidhi ; you seem to be doing well. its the time for revising ure material anyways what is most important is not ure practice scores. its the actual exam actual score that matters So keep ure composure during the entire period of ure exam. u will come up with a decent outcome u can be proud of All the best and all the good luck (remember there are thousands who managed to do it before you, is there any peculiar reason why u cant??)
  5. its a marvellous example of hardwork, you really really teach us what can be achieved through hardwork Accept my warm conrgatulations. I wish u all the best in ure life
  6. recommended that y be z is the correct structure. In B the drug cannot be grounds for anything. its the use of drugs that makes ground in all other sentences we have applicant's them and they problem.
  7. you must have noticed such firms at the end of the sentence an industry marked by rapid innovation and volatile demand, such firms tend to be very large. with option A we dont have a logical referent for these such firms
  8. skj, well what u said might be true. top schools require top scores but not all decent schools. I ask you to go through some of the decent if not top schools websites. they mention their 80% score range as 500-760.This is an indication that special people have special places in this world. no doubt you are frustrated but i want to tell you as you mention its not the end of the world. even a not so popular program may still produce one of the best MBA's in the world. bottomline :- sometimes some people will have to find their own path, which might bring about a unique personality to this world ( this is my personal opinion though)
  9. you need to get your self accustomed to more and more 3 hour or rather 4 hours of continuous work. I think we all need some getting used to this test structure. This might be the reason for your low score in the 3 hour exam. Besides we all know Kaplan is the most difficult of all the exams. dont we??
  10. i go with comp_bos for first one that few people have significantly reduced the amount of driving they do and are not making (this is the most closest one to be correct. but the conjunction and is followed by unnecessary are thus making the parts non parallel)besides it makes sense when or is used cos 'or' correctly implies there are few people either reduced their consumption or made it a priority
  11. only positive integers are prime ans is B as our guru suggests
  12. you can find the ans http://www.www.urch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17053&highlight=owner
  13. X can be any value more than 4 or less x>=4 or x= you take the absolute value of the operations e.g when x=4 x+1= 5 2[x-1]=2 [4-1]= 6 when x=3 x+1= 4 2[x-1]=2 [3-1]= 4 (not true situation)
  14. what u said is generally true. but not necessarily when we take the entire sub clause as a whole entity we get the noun the immediate clause or noun modifies animal-hide shields with wooden frames were essential items of military equipment, protecting all the other choices modifies someother unintended clause or noun
  15. i got the same ans. i wanted to make sure it wasnt my fault thanks guys
  16. sorry i made a typo mistake. question shd be as follows(ans are same) There are 2 red color books and 6 blue color books. 4 books to be selected from this lot.what is the prob at least one red color book is selected??
  17. B is correct what we need to find is an assumption which is inconsistent with the judgement that you cannot argue with taste( judgement which is consistent with the argument u can argue with taste) its only the beauty contest, which leaves room for some argument about taste all the othe cases its not the argument about taste that decides the outcome (there is no room for argument about taste) i hope this is clear enough
  18. There are 2 red color books and 6 blue color books. 4 books to be selected from this lot.what is the prob at least a blue color book is selected?? 1)40 2)50 3)70 4)45
  19. what happens if x=0 and y=3 then x-y=-3 u cant devide x by 3 x+y=3 u cant devide by 3
  20. A looks more sound they be used by modifies credit card numbers all the other choices refer to the wrong antecedent (others) B says the others intended this act, not the suspect himself C intending that telephone billings could be avoided by others using them (using what card numbers or others??) in D with the intent of their use makes the sentence awkward E would be avoided by others through their use (through the use of card numbers or others??)
  21. answer is b - 2520 cos there are 8 members. u need 4 teams each consisting 2 memebers 8!/2! x 2! x 2! x 2! = 2520
