  1. Anita I think you can surely reach 550+ but for that you have to analyze your mistakes/weakness in the test and once you do that half of the job will be done as you can then focus properly and you will know the areas in which you've got to work hard. Practise the type of questions which you frequently get wrong. Build some confidance as GMAT isn't too difficult. If you can organise your preparation and focus properly then you will surely achieve your target score. Barron's is fine but you need to give most importance to [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]........do it atleast 2 times. If your weak area is SC then go for Kaplan Verbal Workout along with [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. Try to get hold of some computer based tests such as Princeton, kaplan etc and practise them hard. I wish you all the luck........... Manu

  8. Congratulations Nirvana. Good score and Thanks for writing your experience, it surely gave a lot of confidance to me. I think your second prep was lot more organised than first and that is the key to GMAT, right? Good luck with your Applications. Regards Manu

  10. Hi Ursula, It's always nice to see your posts. I don't get to see you on the Sentence Correction website, any particular reason for that?? I think SC questions are discussed more frequently and extensively on the sentence correction website than TestMagic. Regards Manu
  11. I am sure that 'considered as ' is Unidiomatic in GMAT land cause there is a SC in [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] which confirms it. GMAT - HELP do you know any [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] question where it says that 'consider to be' is Unidiomatic??
  12. (E) is surely the correct answer. The 2 issues in this Sentence are : - (1) We need to use 'Many' instead of 'Much' cause dioxines are Countable Nouns...........Remember we need to use 'Many' for Countable Nouns and 'Much' for Uncountable Nouns. (2) There is Subject/Verb Error in this sentence. The subject in this sentence is Dioxines ( Plural) thus we need to use 'come' instead of 'comes' Choices (A), (B) and © use 'much' which is WRONG.:) In Choice (D) the absence of a 'Relative Pronoun' before North Americans makes it WRONG. We need to have a relative pronoun such as 'that' here. I hope this makes this sentence clear to you.
  13. Congrats!!!!!!! Natew please share your Test experience with us. How was the Quant section? I mean the level of difficulty as compared to OG? What about the RC in Verbal?? Best of Luck for your Application process. Regards Manu
  14. Thanx Venkat the 2 links you've posted were good. Thanx Ursula, you've given the conclusion beautifully ( I think you've hit the nail on the head ) I couldn't agree with you more on this.
  15. Oops I meant possessive pronoun reference doesn't exist.
  16. Hi Ursula, Thanx for a quick reply. This Question is from the Verbal Section of the Nova GMAT book ( Q No 1, Pg 530 ). My vote was also (A) but when when I read the given explanation I thought that in GMAT land possessive pronouns don't exist. After reading the query in this post I got a bit confused thus I would appreciate if you can clarify things to me. Regards Manu
  17. Ursula what's your opinion about this question which has Possessive pronoun issue?? Had the President's Administration not lost the vote on the budget reduction package, his first year in office would have been rated an A. (A) (B) If the Administration had not lost the vote on the budget reduction package, his first year in office would have been rated an A. © Had the President's Administration not lost the vote on the budget reduction package,it would have been rated an A. (D) Had the President's Administration not lost the vote on its budget reduction package, his first year in office would have been rated an A. (E) If the President had not lost the vote on the budget reduction package, the Administration's first year in office would have been rated an A. Explanation given : (A) is incorrect because his appears to refer to the President, but the subject of the subordinate clause is the President's Administration, not the President. (E) is the correct answer cause it removes the ambiguity by removing the Pronouns.
  18. Hi. [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] is the Official Guide by ETS for GMAT, it has plenty of questions for practise. Search on the Testmagic site for the prep Books and you'll get to know all which you need to know about [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip].
  19. Congrats Abatta, 690 is a pretty good score. I was actually waiting to see your GMAT score cause you have been quite good on the Sentence Correction website. What went wrong with the SC? I mean was the level too high or what? I feel you might have lost focuss cause you got more of RC. Am I right? As far as Quant goes how was it when you compare it with the level of OG?? Best of luck for your Applications......... Regards Manu
