  3. Hi friends was busy in work so could not share my experience with you people. So, well if you have prepared hard for GRE then trust me it will be a breeze for you. As far as my preparation is concerned, I started way back in January. Started making flash cards from Barrons.Completed the list in first week of March and kept on revising them till the test date. With such rigorous practice with vocab you can imbibe the words in your soul and mind. Along with vocab revision I kept on working on quants whenever verbal sapped my energy. Two RC's a day are must. After making flash cards and two rounds of vocab I started mastering the skills of Kaplan and Barron's in verbal and quants from Nova. Kaplan has great strategies barron's has very good practice material in verbal and Nova is good in quants while of no use in verbal. Also worked on quants section from these books. After completing the books I moved on to real 19 tests ,completed all the 38 tests. Analyzed my mistakes and recorded my score. It kept on increasing in each attempt.I did two tests everyday. After completing it I moved to Bigbook.A must to do if you aiming for high score.Completed all the 54 tests doing two everyday. Bigbook was a great practice. RC's were great analogies and sentence completion were great practice. If you complete all this, no one can stop you in scoring high on verbal. I read essays in last two days gave CAT's in last 10 days (Kaplan+PowerPrep+Princeton+Barron's) Read some essays while on my way to prometric center. I never prepared rigorously in Quants , just practiced whenever I had time. Did Dr. Raju's database in last few days. In between my prep gave Power prep to analyze my performance. That was it. How I went about cracking the GRE? On test day plan your activities well in advance. Plan how you will manage the 10 minutes break. Relax in break. If you have done your first section early. Take rest don't proceed to the next one.Eat time. For example I completed my quant section 5 mins earlier but I did not end it and relaxed 5 minutes plus another 1 minute break. So plan your test well in advance and take care everything falls at the right time. Read some essays while on your way to prometric. Eat and drink in break.Don't take undue tensions before the test. You will do well All the best !!

  6. The argument that eating soy on a regular basis helps in preventing chronic fatigue and depression due to the inherent phytochemicals called isoflavones, which have been found to possess disease–preventing properties may seem logical at first glance. However, the conclusion relies upon assumptions for which there is no clear evidence and upon terms which lack definition. First, the writer states that soy has properties to fight diseases as it has phytochemicals called isoflavones. However, there is no clear evidence stating whether it has specific fighting properties for chronic depression and fatigue. The evidence on which the argument is based is logically flawed. Chronic depression and fatigue is much more different than other normal diseases. Soy may be effective against bacterial and viral infections but there is no evidence proving that it is equally effective in fighting chronic depression and fatigue. Author should have stated specific research results proving the abilities of soy against chronic depression to back up his argument. Furthermore, chronic depression and fatigue are types of disease which are born by one’s lifestyle and living rather than any bacterial or viral infection. The writer takes the lifestyle of people of North America and Asia at par which makes the argument implausible. North American’s can have a much more hectic schedule and their work environment can be painstaking as compared to Asians due to which such problems are bound to creep in their life. Perhaps, the argument can be stronger if the results from a survey conducted on the average working hours of Asian’s and North American’s can be stated. Finally, the writer highlights that North American’s suffer 9 times more chronic fatigue and 31 times more chronic depression than do people living on the continent of Asia but he fails to recognize that chronic disease and fatigue can also be traced in Asian’s. Even if there is one Asian suffering from chronic disease and fatigue, who eats regular soy 20 grams a day can make the argument flawed. There is a high probability that such problems are present in people living in Asia, even if they are sparse, they will prove that Soy is not the necessary ailment for chronic disease and fatigue. In conclusion, the writer requires the support of evidence demonstrating that Soy has properties fighting chronic depression rather than disease preventing properties. Research evidence on such facts can truly make the argument plausible. Argument should be well balanced by stating the prevalent lifestyles of North American’s and Asian’s along with conducting a survey in Asia testifying total absence of chronic depression and fatigue in regular Soy eating people
  7. Hey friends. Where are all the July test takers? Anyone has given the test in July. Please become active.
  8. First try to get he meaning, what the sentence is trying to say. Here is a degree involved of laughter. First part says remark was slightly--------- inviting a chuckle. That means there was something amusing about it. Chuckle is a half conceited smile. So the remark must be slightly humorous but certainly not a boisterous laughter which means guffaw. Got it!

  18. A well versed essay backed up with good examples. Just check this line. The question now arises is whether this competition is beneficial or detrimental to the society. As I have said said before, competition is such a phemenon which cannot be solely classified as beneficial or detrimental. You are trying to be verbose and redundant in your approach though it is a slight mistake but does not fit with a good essay. Instead of reinstating the point with a question and answering it yourself you should have crafted it in other words with a straightforward approach. Refer Kaplan for such mild mistakes. Else everything is fine.
