    Hi Zuiko, Try the TOEFL practice online. Go for the speaking practice samples ( unscored). Cost about $9 . It analysis some test sample, What marks they got and why, what needed to be said to get full marks ets. This really helped me to improve from from 22 to 26. Also listen to discussions on radio, TV , etc You can make it. goodluck mate!

    Depending on your degree, you can always apply for fpgee and then travel to the states with your tourist visa to write the exams. But you can not practise as a pharmacist with your tourist visa even if you've passed all the exams. you would need to get a work pemit (H1B visa). good luck1

    Hi cheecks, I think you are on the right track. Keep your job and go ahead with the exams. Your work experience as a tech will help you in the exams, moreso, as a family person there are many issues to worry about and may delay your sitting for the exams. Atleast, one has the opportunity to write fpgee a number of times. Also, I would advice you to put aside your family travel plans for now and use as much spare time you have to study. Stay determined and you shall make it.

    Hi thaierah123, Having read your posts, It seems you are very bitter about the decisions you have made in your life despite your achievements. Living a life of regrets if not advicable. In addition, I don't think there's anyone that is oblivious of the unfavourable economic condition and the changes on licensure requirements. And there is no need for your negative emphasis on your regrets.

    Sorry for the late response, I didn't see you message earlier. I can't really remember how I paid as it was in 2006/07 but I think it was by an international draft. I recently paid Califonia board of pharmacy for my intern license and I used my HSBC bank. I called them to requested for an international bank draft in US dollars payable to a US bank and I picked it up the next day. But i was charged about 20 pounds based on the amount. Barclays bank are abit naughty saying they don't do it. But specify that the payment must be in paper form and not electronic wiring.

     

    I'm still looking for sponsor, seems the poor economic situation has slowed down employment.
