  1. It doesn't make a sense that you completed your essay in 30 mins. But i liked it,good work!
  2. It's better to start reading books dealing with it,rather than to get recommendations early.
  3. No,No,No!! Main idea, and summary questions are usually given at the end of a text. It's simply foolish attempt to jump on the last summary question,as you will read the whole passage until this question will appear. Perhaps, you're so clever that are able to find the answer without reading entire passage. :)
  4. No,Question appear after listening to lecture.Try Toefl Official Guide CD disc.Everything there,is like the real test
  5. By the way,a simple method of improving Listening is BBC radio : BBC iPlayer - Listen live - BBC World Service Note: British radio's lectures are much more difficult than that of TOEFL.Speed is the main issue :)
  6. i don't know whether i'm right or not,but most TOEFL passages are taken from those sites.Really resemble..
  7. FenerBaku,it seems that i've already added you.but i can't see you as online in skype.i'm so curious to speak to you,as i needed a partner from my own country.
  8. This's not true.Reading passage doesn't only consist of "main idea" question. The first primitive questions belong to reference and word meaning questions. After all these, they ask about main idea and inference.Consequently,it's not too important to read ONLY boldface sentences in order to reply 1 question.

  12. Great explanation TONI.one more question - what about the second case? i mean if we have a sentence "Although it has been originated in Africa",can i reduce the adverb clause(as you mentioned above) and write the sentence as: "Although (or without this transition) originated in TroPical Africa ...."? Thanks in advance!!

  22. yeah,i'd also like to have a list of commonly used idioms in lectures..sometimes they give such a question:Listen to a part of the lecture and answer the question - "why did the professor say this?" in many situations, professor uses idioms. the only effective response would be here: Damn it!
  23. The question asks you to choose "which is better", not to offer your solution.Your reply is: All remaind parts are well organized and without grammatical errors..but i think they may decrease your 1 or 2 points due to mentioned reason..
  24. aren't there any rules about writing only the topic that you introduce: (agree or not agree).I've noticed this in many sample toefl essays written by them.hope, you understand me. you explained both options by starting with paragraph 2, and all remaind parts.but all in all, i'm again agree with the opinions that you hold. :) good luck!
