  1. Solution by Brent is the easiest way to address the problem.
  2. I personally find the 5lb. Mahanattan GRE practice book.. quite good; challenging questions. :verydrunk:
  3. For III just think if B's 100th place is not 5 and its 4 so the max digits possible with be 489 (with given conditions) and since 'a' is less than b so adding anything less than 489 to b will not make the total of a+b =
  4. It will go a long way in improving... while writing in AWA... Since I also commit the same mistakes.. while typing too fast... so I can understand the unintentional errors. :proud: And there is no harm in telling other what do you refer too, other should also benefit from quality materials.

  8. I would suggest you go with Manhattan Series, after personally using Barron I did not find their responses as clear as the ones given in Manhattan 8 strategy guides for GRE.
  9. Hi, Simple place some numbers I used 1 =x and 2 =y A : (1+2)/2 = 1.5 B: (1+2+2)/3 = 5/3 = 1.66 So B is greater than A .. :victorious:
  10. Hi, Not sure if this is the latest version of the book. Kindly check and get the latest version. Since your expectations are not too high so this book will serve your purpose. Maybe you will be in a better position to asses yourself after taking a couple of diagnostic tests. Regards, Achint
  11. Hi Anu, For Quants ETS text book and the 5lb book of Manhattan GRE prep. Make a account on Magoosh, using their one week free trial option and try to solve as many problems as you can. Since I am premium user of their site I can't exactly tell how much they will be sharing in the one week trial, but their question bank is good for Quants as well as verbal. Since you are scoring low in quants as well the immediate step will be to solidify your understanding of the main GRE textbook published by ETS, followed by Manhattan and Magoosh if time permits. Use this youtube channel for help related to GRE ETS texbook. Magoosh GRE (gre.magoosh.com) - YouTube
  12. Hi, The match between your interest and the program is the first thing that you must look for then comes the ranking of the institute. I have learned this Ph.D lesson the hard way. I was enrolled in the FPM aka Ph.D at IIM-A and after 2 years for suffering I finally left it to do a program of my choice. Since you will be applying for Ph.D and for US admissions the forms will be coming in September or later, so you do have sufficient time to mail the professors and ask them if they would like to consider you. But don't send a blank mail first do a background search of the professor work then draft a mail pointing out where he/she can work with you. Regards, Achint.
  13. Hi there,:drunk::drunk: I am from India, a student as well as an entrepreneur in gamification industry. I am a MBA (PGDM) in HR and marketing and planning to re-apply for a Ph.D in management after withdrawing from Ph.D program in India. I plan to take GRE+ TOEFL and apply for fall 2014 admissions in the top 10 management institutes/universities. Regards, Achint :proud::proud:
  14. Hey, Try to write anything which you feel comfortable with in English, for using good vocab you can take help of the Microsoft thesaurus. When you write a simple word it trows back the synonyms and the antonyms so you can choose which will be a more fancy word for usage.
