hi n_adroja ! it is C . the explanation given is that both the triangles ACF & DFE are similar. therefore sides are proportional. As far as i remember, 2 triangles are similar if either all angles or all sides are equal(correct me if i am wrong!) i can only make out the 90 degree angle. how are the other 2 angles same?

primary pupose: i get these right only when i get a good feel of the passage. Tone of the Author: is never in extremes. no direspect shown especially to sensitive issues. hope this helps.

my knowledge of coordinate geometry is a little rusty. can u guys help me with this... i know of only 2 Ways To Find Slope Of A Line: 1. given an eqn. in the form of y=mx+b slope =value of m. 2. given 2 points on the line m= (y-y1)/(x-x1) (which means that 1 point on a line is insufficient to calculate the slope.) Is there any other way?

from statement 1 we can find out that 20% have blond hair only but we are not given whether there are any people out of the rest 30% (100-50-20) who are neither blond nor have blue eyes. note that the question does not say that everybody in Teetown has either blond hair or has blue eyes. there can be a % who have neither. that's the catch! am i correct, n_adroja?

Should be C as both equations have 2 variables x & y and equation1 is not the same as equation 2.

i agree with Elita. the key is that median is just the middle no. of the series. v can't deduce anything about the rest of the data from it.
