The best suggestion I could give is to ask the accounting professor who will write you a recommendation letter. The general reputation of your recommendation provider and the strength of the recommendation decides the programs that you will get in to some extent.

Based on my personal experience, I would say it is totally okay for you to ask. I shot them an email the minute they told me I was being waiting-listed, and they replied in great details about where I stand their list.

I am guessing we have a very small pool of applicants this year.

My application status is still incomplete. I have tried to contact them several times by phone, while no one answered. Additionally, they have already sent out several interviews....So I just moved on...

Based on my experience at my university where I took my master, it is very rare for professors to hire master students as their RA. They usually turn to their PhD students.

I am pretty sure that I have sent everything they need a month ago, but still my application status is "Incomplete". I contacted them like three weeks ago, and they responded by saying that it will take some time before they update my status... Guess I have to contact them too.....

Hi guys, I have a tricky question that has been asked in interviews, and would like to know your thoughts. Sometimes, the interviewer will ask things like, What other programs have you applied? What if XX program gives you an offer? will you choose our program? Do we have any strategies(I do not mean lying here...) when faced with the tricky question? Or just tell the truth? and do you list all the programs that you have applied or just some programs that are representative of your program distribution?(that is a long list....it probably will take a minute to finish reading the list....)
