Yes, I got wait listed at NYU. I will decline Columbia soon, I already have a dominating offer to that of Columbia. NYU is one of my top choices as I am definitely pursuing Macro, but sadly I'm only wait listed as of now.

Well usually, such forums where people post anonymously are frowned upon by the profession. However, I think you are right on this, outing oneself on GC is fine ! So I guess this has officially started !!! First rejection !!

Calling out by Professor's name seems to give it some legitimacy. But at the same time why would you out yourself. The recent fake posts on GC along with this new Chicago post is making me crazy ! :/

Too many trolls on GC. Unless, there are many posts for a particular university, I would not bother much.
