  11. I wrote exam today and scored 560. Q was OG level. I was running out of time, so I guessed around 4 questions that may be the reason for low quant score. I got 2 prob, 4 to 5 geo questions. Verbal was OG level, I got 3 60 liner RC's that took long to answer .I was able to crack SC's easily, I got one Bold face CR. I took more time to solve first 25 questions at the end of it, I had 20 min to finish remaining 16 questions, I rushed from there, last 5 questions I just clicked to finish exam. I scored between 540 and 570 in all kaplan tests, 550 - 570 in all PR tests, 580- 640 in all paper tests, PP1 I - 630(Q50,V25) and PP2 - 600(Q48,V25) (two days before) , so I was expecting more than 600. I wanted to thank all members in this forum and the man Erin for creating this wonderful forum. The forum really improved my confidence. This is not the score, anyways I am planning to retake the exam after 2 to 3 months with good practice.

  14. " In general, people are not as concerned as they were a decade ago about regulating their intake of red meat and fatty cheeses. Walk into the Heart's Delight, a store that started selling organic fruits and vegetables and whole-grain flours in the 1960's, and you will also find a wide selection of cheeses made with high butterfat content. Next door, the owners of the Good Earth Café, an old vegetarian restaurant, are still making a modest living, but the owners of the new House of Beef across the street are millionaires." The argument concludes that people are not concerned about regulating their intake of red meat and fatty cheeses as they were a decade ago, the argument is dearth of evidences to prove this conclusion. First premises says that heart's delight store started selling organic fruits and grain in 1960's and now changed there products to butterfat content, however it did not mention that now heart's delight store sales is better than sales in 1960's. It could be possible that the sales declined after they changed the products and they planning to go back to old products in near future. Second premises conveys that old vegetarian restaurant are leaving modest living , but owners of the new house of beef across the street are millionaires. This premises assumed the house of beef owners are millionaires by selling the meat, however it could be possible that they are millionaires before starting the business. Finally The argument neither provide any figures to compare sale of meat a decade ago with sale of meat now nor compares vegetables sales with meat sales between decade ago and now. Even though we assume the sale of meat and cheese products are in boom now, there is no proof to prove All consumed by people to prove authors point. Had the author taken above points in his view , the argument would have been irrefutable.

    Cost

    1/4 = t/20 1 = x. x = t/5. that's why I multiple with 15 not with 15/4.
  19. scoot

    Cost

    P=4kg T=20 cents Cost of 1/4kg = T cents = 20 cents If the cost of 1/4kg is T cents (or 20 cents) , it is T cents. I wouldn't think that we multpily 1/4 * T. P-1/4 = 15/4 Cost of the remaining kg = 15/4* T/5= 15*20/5= 60 20+60=80. apply these values opt E will give 80, so Ans :E . HTH.
  20. scoot

    Cost

    OA is E for this question. I solved this by picking numbers. It took me around 5 min. I am looking for shortcut for this. malice, you equation should be total cost= 20cents*1/4kg + 1 cent*3*3/4kg
