How did u guys get B answer ..... i think OA is correct .....C is the answer.. Solution: lets assume total savings are x therefore cost of car = M% of x and cost of house = 4 (M% of x) so from second statement we get M% of x + 4 (M% of x) = 140000 which doesnt give us the answer.... hence by combining we get the answer so C..... (hope i m not misssin anything)

Hey guys i think there is some kinda confusion relating to the diagram........let me see if i can solve tht.. guys assume there is a cone and attached to the base of the cone is one of the cylinders base.......i think this most of the ppl wud have understood ........ now the problem says 1/3rd of the cylinder is fitted into the cube so the diameter of the cylinder i.e. 4 becomes the length of cube ......... and thus the solution which has already been mentioned by ramzzy and dsaqwert...... have attached the figure ...the figures indicated are the lengths/ heights of respective portions and cube is indicated in blue........hope this helps..... hey ramzy222 shudnt the answer be B, i think there is a typo error OA is B 1.doc

If N is a positive integer, what is the tens digit of n? just one doubt ...no where in the problem is it mentioned that N is a 2 digit number, so how do we assume that its a 2 digit number ........otherwise i think the solution is correct to the problem ..... The answer is A.....

ANSWER : C (6) the altitude is root3...... thsi altitude divides the triangle into 2 equal 30-60-90 triangles... lets consider one such triangle ...so the side opposite 60 degree angle is the altitude i.e. root3 applying trignometry--Sin 60 =opposite side/hypotenuse (since sin60 =root3/2), therefore- root3/2 = root3/hypotenuse....thus hypotenuse = 2 note- this hypotenuse is also the side of the equilateral triangle perimeter = 3 * 2= 6

ANSWER is D (75) since they ve asked us to find out the greatest possible number buying both B as well as D, the answer has to be the smallest no between the two which is 75...as all the guys purchasing D can also buy B and only 75 out of 88 purchasing B can simultaneously purchase D as well.... Note: the word greatest number is very important in the question

hiii nuthan........ the answer tht i m gettin is e (8) ....this problem can be best understood by drawing venn diagram.....heres the explaination.... total no of people = 30 no joining M = 10 no joining S = 12 no joining Z = 5 question asked - AT MOST how many people did not join any group? Solution: now since none of the members of M joined any other group, the no of people left = 30-10(for M)=20 since the quesiton says at most how many did not join any group, lets assume the all people who join Z also join S. so no of people joining group S and Z are 12 (note tht there will be 5 people in group S who ve also joined Z) therfore no of people not joining any group = 20-12=8 Hence e hope this explaination helps:)
