  1. Don't know.:) In the morning when I wake up at 6:30 i didn't even rememeber that I have GMAT today. Then I saw Sep 7.."oh..I registered for GMAT for sep 7..4 months back". So called up work on the way that I will be off first half of the day.. With this score, I am not going full time for sure.. I will see whereever I get my next job, try to get into E-MBA or part time there. Maybe appear again (if considered full time) sometime early next yr..
  2. Can't complain as never prepared quant.. verbal also did for one month only & that too 3 months back.. Haven't touched any GMAT books since May 15.. But did get 5-6 probabibility questions & at least 3 bold faced questions in Verbal. RC were easy. Q-48(86 percentile), V-34(79(percentile) Overall percentile - 89
  3. I think the correct one should be , "can you buy me some fruits such as oranges and grapefruits?"
  4. I agree with both huskers & limwd. OA has to be E.
  5. Thanks gmat0805, But I still don't understand how it fits the subject verb inversion scenario # 3.
  6. gmat0805, It might be , I looked into all the possible cases of 18 subject verb inversion in that link, but I couldn't find the one which explain the scenario in this question. Could you/anyone please help me in dentifying which scenario this fits?
  7. 1. Out of America’s fascination with all things antique have grown a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that are bringing back the chaise lounge, the overstuffed sofa, and the claw-footed bathtub. (A) things antique have grown a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that are bringing (B) things antique has grown a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that is bringing © things that are antiques has grown a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that bring (D) antique things have grown a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that are bringing (E) antique things has grown a market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures that bring Couple of doubts... 1. How 'things antique' is right? Isn't adjective precede the noun? 2. OG says, in A & D, 'have grown' doesn not agree with the singular noun market. But isn't the subject of verb phrase, 'has/have grown', is fascination? Any explanations would be really appreciated..
  8. I picked up D first over C, then after examining closely, I found : in D, A nuclear weapon detonated above the atmosphere would not generate a blast, shock, or heat, but rather an intense electromagnetic pulse disrupting, like a lightning bolt, all unshielded electric lines and electronic equipment. => A nuclear weapon detonated above the atmosphere would not [this ] but [that]. So IMO,for D to be correct it should be , ......would generate not..[this] but [that]. in C, A nuclear weapon detonated above the atmosphere would generate no blast, shock, or heat, but rather an intense electromagnetic pulse disrupting, like a lightning bolt, all unshielded electric lines and electronic equipment => A nuclear weapon detonated above the atmosphere would generate no [this] but [that]. It is just my understanding... Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong.
  9. Where can one find the lessons on absolute phrase?
  10. IMO, I think correct form should be Tecumsch urged 'whom' ? a,d,e - says as in original sentence - urged "American tribes and former enermies" So rule out b & c. Also in C, "should be resistent the cession" is awkward construction. E - 'they' is ambiguous. (parcels, enemies or tribes?) Between A & D, I would choose D ..I preferred would over will in this case. Also, in A, I am not able to figure which is the preceding noun 'it' refers to.
  11. I think we are comparing actions. PS: I always get confused in as/like questions.
  12. IMO,Household objects is the subject.
