  1. yes man i know but i am eplaining INDETAIL so that he can understand where he gone wrong any way thank you
  2. i think ans is 40000 as follows we have to consider on first "world" labor force they mentined 2,163,644 ---- 2,363,547 ---- 2,742,524 just remove 2 digit ( becuase all the cases starts with 2) Then round up the figures now the figures looks like this roughly 164000----364000---743000 now the increase is 364000 164000 ------------- 200000 ---------------- second one 743000 364000 ----------- 377000 Total increse from 1985 to 2000 is 200000 377000 ---------- 577000 so the total increase from 1985 - 2000 for 15 years now we have to calculate per year increase 577000/15 which is roughly 39000 so closet ans is 40000 i think you got where you don mistake plese calculate for 15 years not for 3 years or 2 years.

  8. hai all nice to c Bio people here, am sreenivas from Bangalore INDIA. i done my MSc Biochemistry from university of Madras, Chennai (2003). I wanted to do PHD in Molecularbiology. last year i missed the subject GRE because of general GRE which went badly. now am planning to apply for fall 07. i think we can share our problems, latest news, admission etc., i personally feel general gre is crucial than the Subject GRE. only top 25 universities demanding s.gre. My profile topper in university, ( both BSc and Msc) have 1year research experience 1 year teaching experience no publication -----negative i had applied fall 06 but got big bulb from all the universities "all rejections" because of NO Publications" Low general Gre Score". this year am again writing both General as well as Subject GRE. its very boring and time cosuming if we miss one time we have to waite again one year. so be carefull in all aspects. take all necessary precautions, and prepare well. all the best to all
  9. thax ragini yes its october 2007 and new GRE going to be even tougher than this, they removed the antonyms, anologies, and increased the RC part  . i think no need to byheart all the words list for new pattern :) new pattern writting: same as now but issue and argument both 30,30 mints intead of 45,30 :( then 10 mint break as usual verbal or Quants but now we will get 2 verbal and 2 Quants and 2 dummy sections either verbal or Quants. totally 2 verbal 2 Quants 2 unidentified sections total lenth of exam 5 to 5.30 hrs  Quants going to be tough, they are providing onscreen calculator ( we have to think once on fractions before rounding the answer.)

yes, the books used in kapalan are similar those are available in market. and i suggest u dont persue any coaching centres in india( especially in bangalore) its weaste of time and money too. i joined in Kap bangalore they charged 7.5K but taught nothing.they given the same materials (photocopy of original books not even originals). insted i can buy all the books in market. GRE is which test how u fit mentally than the skill. how u r mind think and avoid tension during 3-4hrs. thats it. dont spend money on coaching. buy some books.
