I got a mail from a prof wanting to have a telephonic conversation (interview in plain words) with me in the coming week. It would be helpful to most of us if people who have taken interviews post the most common Q's they were asked! :) My share: 1. Why did you choose to apply to this particular university? 2. What disciplines in our program interest you the most? 3. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Congrats to all those who got into RPI!! It's a great school to be in! I read that it was established in 1824, which makes it the oldest technological school in the entire english speaking world. :cool: Also their campus is well networked, and the tech programs have a reputation of being "hard core". I'm waiting for the MSEE results... hope I wont be dead by the time it comes!

Also they havent mentioned a date by which they want a response back...so when are you planning to accept?

I thought I'd never get to post in this forum!! A big package from Drexel came in today. I could understand even before opening it :p.. No mention about aid though.

Good or bad luck is all in the air now... we've done our best, and can only hope for the best. So let's try to engage in other things...as some guys rightly pointed out. I applied at 9 places. 4 have got back with bad news. With things going like this, I am getting ready to set the stage for Plan B (which is if all 9 don't want me).

One more to join the boat guys...:smack: hope the spell wears off..

We need a Consumer (applicant) Protection Act purely governing the activities of Universities during the admission period. 1. Dissatisfied applicants will be promptly refunded their application money, (once they are admitted) 2. Dissatisfied applicants who got a reject on top of that, will be refunded the application money + damages. :whistle:

hey thanks to both of you for the explanation...:) but is there any place on the web where i can cehck my RPI status? i kept searching, havent found any! Also, now that you mentioned RPI mailing you for your resume.. a lady mailed me too, asking for my "Statement of current activity", so I took a couple of days and submitted that document. Hopefully the same lady will know about the status... will mail her today :rolleyes:

International student here. Got all 3 rejections via thin snail mail. I could tell they were thumbs downs just by the remorseful colour and thickness of the covers :D

RPI is holding an accepted students' party ?:eek: I dont even know if I am accepted or rejected? Is not informing an applicant, RPI's way of saying we didnt measure up to them? Should I call them up?
