  1. Thanks lawu2002. God bless you.
  2. You need both, APHA and A&L. APHA explain in details the required subjects while A&L gives u questions regarding all aspects of pharmacy.

    Texas NAPLEX

If u take the naplex for example in Texas and u asked for score transfer to another state like NJ,then after u transfer ur naplex score to NJ,u'll have to count ur intern hours in NJ then apply for NJ MPJE then u'll be licensed in NJ ,with this license,u can transfer it to other states, the eligible states i mean, but u'll have to go through the MPJE for each state to get its license. After u transfer ur NAPLEX score from Texas to NJ,ur naplex score will be in texas too, they won't erase it from there until 3 years i think,so after the transfer,if u wish to go back to be licensed in texas,u can do that within 3 years (i think) but u'll have to go through the internship hours and MPJE of texas unless u'r done with the internship hours and became licensed in another state, then u'll ask for a license transfer and in this case,u'll go through this state's MPJE only without having internship again. I hope i was helpful.
  6. You don't need ur FPGEC certificate for NJ internship, but u need to submit the TOEFL & TSE score reports,if no TSE,then TOEFL-IBT.
  7. Does anybody know which states are in real need for pharmacists? It's gonna be great if we help eachother through our experiences to collect as much information as possible so that we all get the right way. So anybody has information, plz share it. Thanks alot.
  8. about myself,i had to register for Chicago, however i live in NY cuz the NY testing center was full and closed,so i registered in Chicago and i also received the Chicago admission ticket ,but i couldn't find a flight ticket to Chicago at this time,so i contacted the board and told them about my situation that i live in NY and i couldn't find a flight ticket available to go to Chicago at this time,so within 2 hours, they replied my E-mail saying that an admission ticket to NY testing center was mailed to me. After 2 days,i received my NY admission ticket without paying any $50 at all.

    Texas NAPLEX

According to my understanding, When i started the Texas application to apply for the naplex, they asked to pay $52 fee for Texas application to texas board of pharmacy and asked to pay the feels for NAPLEX and MPJE as well. That's what happened with me in Texas, they refused to process my application in texas board of pharmacy until i pay the naplex and mpje fees to NABP.

    Texas NAPLEX

On the Texas state board of pharmacy website, they say it's gonna take 6 weeks,i'm waiting for 4 weeks now and haven't got anything yet. Regarding ur question, once Texas board of pharmacy declares ur eligibility for taking Texas Naplex, they will notify NABP and u'll get ur ATT within 2 weeks from NABP.

    Texas NAPLEX

Yes,i think Texas will be ur primary licensed state, but u can transfer ur naplex score to other states and it's gonna be the same as texas. Regarding ur second question, NO, NY doesn't accept any hours u got outside NY and they also don't accept ur hours that u got before having ur ny intern license.
  14. For most of the staes, yes you need the certificate. It takes 3-4 months to get it after submitting your score reports.

    please answer

For Q-1,i know that in NY,u'r allowed to take NAPLEX for 3 times, then if u fail those 3 times,u'll have to go through the FPGEE again, but i'm not sure if this applies to the other states. For Q-3, APHA,Appelton and lang and manan shroff Qs&As. For Q-4,u have to get minimum 75 to pass the NAPLEX.
  16. Thanks ramudu. Good luck.
  17. I have the same question plus is it good to study pharmacology from CPR or APhA? And do we need to study pharmaceutics, biology and general chemistry? Thanks

    Texas NAPLEX

Hi mfpgee, Regarding ur first question, it's just a matter of routine, in other words,u print out form 2 for ny and this form has options for choosing which course u've got during ur studying and u know very well that in Egypt, they don't care about that,u just give them the money they want and they'll do it. All they have to do is that they'll mark on every course u've got before and that's not hard, in other words, there, they care only about money,so i think it's easy. NY board of pharmacy is pretty hard regarding this matter, and i think if they know that u missed a course out of their requirements, they will ask u to take it over here. Regarding the 2nd question about this compounding test, i heared it's very hard, many people said it's pretty hard,so u have to find a way out to avoid that test. U can apply for texas naplex and NJ MPJE,then transfer ur naplex score to NJ&NY (just in case), then when u'r done being licensed in NJ,u can transfer ur license to NY, so u'll only have to go through NY MPJE without compounding. But to apply for texas naplex,u must have a SSN and an ID card. And also this will give u enough time to get ur greencard, because in ny to be licensed,u must have at least a greencard or u'll be licensed for a limited 3 years and it's not gonna be renewed. So as soon as u'r done with those 3 years in ny,u'll have to find another way,as on the regular basis,if u get ur H1B visa now,u'll not be able to get ur greencard before at least 5 years. That's what i think is right.
  19. Hey ramudu, Could u please tell us what else did u study from?like did u study from CPR or anywhere else? Thanks
  20. You were just lucky, that's it. U know very well that FPGEE depends on luck, not on how hard you study.
  21. No thanks,it's useless. The 5th edition is much much better and has information more than the 4th edition.
