  1. -3n^3 = (3n)^3 or, -3n^3= 27n^3 or, 30n^3=0 or, n^3 =0 so, n= 0. if u put n=-1 both side......... L.H.S -3(-1)^3 =3 R.H.S (-3)^3 =-27 so......n=-1 is not a solution

    1. Median can be 5 .........consider...... x=4, y=3, z=21 here........average=8, median =5 so, condition 1 need not to be true always. 2. as average....8......and as the 2 given number is less than 8 so one of the x,y,z must be greater than 9. 3. as average 8 and minimum number atmost 5, so again the range must be greater than 2, so condition 3 also holds.
  3. 1. let w=1, x=2, y=3,z=4 reminder 1 w=x=y=z=1 reminder 0 2.31= 30+1 17= 15+2 -11=-5+(-6) -13=-10+(-3) -21= ? +? so, answer D 3. Total number =50 perfect square =16,25,36,49 perfect cube = 27 so probability = (4+1)/50 = 0.1
  4. sfhad........plzz dont mind.....i think u should not seek answer from any particular person in public forum like that.....if u wanted the answer just from me, u should have asked me privately..... My answer: First prize can be given to 5 persons, second prize to 4 persons and third one to 3 persons. so the answer should be= 5*4*3=60 Sorry.....sfhad........if my remarks r little harsh.
  5. U have calculated probablity.......... ColA asked for the number of ways we can choose. So ColA 5c1*4c1*2c1= 40 Ans: A
  6. awesome man.........ur explanation is so lucid....Thanks.....
  7. 1. I m getting 26. first........3 Same digit....... 2c1*1=2 (here 2c1 .....coz we can choose 3 same digit from either 4 or 2 and 1 for as we can arrange them in 3!/3! way) second........2 same and 1 different..............................3c1*2c1*(3!/2!)= 18 last......all r different................................3c3*3!= 6 so......total ways................(2+18+6)=26
  8. Jose......i agree with u for the rest 2.
  9. let minimum num a, then median (a+50), maximum number (a+56) to satisfy the above conditions we need to take x median and x maximum number then we get, (a+(a+50)*x+(a+56)*x)/(2x+1) > (a+50) or, a+ 6x> a+50 or, 6x>50 so, x should be 9 so, total members = 9*2+1=19
  10. Col A the total interest earned on d dollars invested for 3 months at 11 percent simple annual interest. Col B 11/3(d/100)dollars Ans: ColB 2. If 2/3 of the number of women attending a certain dance is equal to 1/2 of the number of men attending,what fraction of those attending are women? a. 2/5 b. 3/7 c. 5/7 d. 3/4 e. 5/6 Ans:3/7 3) Col A. The area of a triangular region with perimeter of 50 Col B The area of a rectangular region with perimeter of 50 Ans: D 4)rack A has 80 pairs of slacks with their price ranging from 12-15 rps per pair and rack B has 60 pairs of slacks with their price ranging from 13-18 rps per pair. By how much maximum value the amount obtained by selling all slacks in rack A is greater than that obtained by selling all slacks in rack B a)300 b)412 c)430 d)520 e)580 Ans: b 79*15 + 12 - 18- 59*13 =412 5). [x] represents the greates integer less than or equal to x and {x} represents the least integer greater than or equal to x. A. ([x] + {x}) / 2 B. 1.4 Ans: D
  11. Here, 13^2 > 5^2+ 11^2 so, x is obtuse angle. so it should be greater than 90.
