even i thought of E... put then "like" is used to compare nouns.. v r comparing clauses here.. so"as" is better SO D for me -
E for me.. if v choose A then "seeming to be" refers to Hosea Hudson, which is wrong.. it should refer to Comminist party.. thus the "it" is E refers to the communist party
