Hi vaya You joined in this discussions just before I had my test. But in the few days, you gave me much support. I was very tensed in the last minute when I saw many of the essay topics for which I don't have any idea. You helped in time giving your precious ideas in time. That gave me much courage to face the test. Eventhough I didn't get those essays, I am happy to recieve your reply. Your posts are really matured. I always feel surprised to know that you are much younger than me. As my test is over, I may not be participating in the discussions with you. Hai I started taking practice tests one week before the test. As my computer had some problem, I had to go out for practicing with computer. In the final days of my preparation, I worked continuously 5 to 6 hours daily. Because of working continuously with computer, i had some eye problem and I could not concentrate well in the reading section of the real test. So be careful to take 5 minutes break after every 2 or 3 hours of your preparation. Madhavi

Hi This is the experiance of my aunt in her school when she was in 5th standard. An officer came to their school to check the standard of the school. And all the students were said that they have to answer the questions the new 'sir' asks. The 'sir' started to ask some questions He asked a student ' What is your name' Student answered ' your name is subbalakshmi ' He asked another student ' what is your name ?' student said 'your name is pitchaiah ' many students told like that and when my aunt answered correctly, she was praised for being SO clever !![:o)] Madhavi

Hi 'walk around' reminds me of a game Indians play with chairs. we keep some chairs and some people ( more than the number of chairs ) run round the chairs and when a vigil is blown all of them tris to sit on a chair. The person who is not able to sit is out. And the game is continued after one chair is removed from the chairs. Its very good game. Hi My final score is 263 My essay score: 5.5 listening : 26 structure : 28 reading : 25 I didn't expect that I could get more than 4. test magic is very much helpful in this. I advice all the test takers to have basic idea about all the essays before you attend the test. Go through all the discussions in this site and ask for ideas for the essays you find tough. Hi My score in TOEFL is less. But I want to post what I know. The scores on the actual test depends on the person. Some people do well when they are in stress. Some can't do well when they are stressed. I believe I do well when I am under stress. I got 200~257 when I did at home in powerprep. In the real test I got 210~267. There are some site addresses given in the listening section of this site. Use them and practise well. I wrote nearly 10 Essays( I don't know the exact number of essays I actually practised). But I read others essays on all the topics. I asked for ideas for those I feel tough. Its better to be familiar with all the topics. Madhavi

Hi vaya I got 200 in test prep. but got 210 in the actual test. You can still improve your score if you can have patience to read for more than an hour in the actual test. YES !! Erin have much patience to read our posts. I did some mistakes repeatedly. Its tough to read all these silly posts. One should have really much patience to read them. Erin has that!! Madhavi
