  1. PNN course provides questions after the course, Lange Q&A book has lots of profile Qs. Comprehensive pharmacy review ( a separate book) has a book contains all patient profile Qs about two full length tests. Also Kaplan book contains some profile Qs too.
  2. I graduated many years ago and didn't practice pharmacy before, that's why I tried to use different materials to help me pass NAPLEX. PNN is a great course, the same to Rxprep. Their strategies are different. Many new graduates just use one of the resources and pass. Some of them just use APHA book, the bottom line is we have to study hard, no matter what materials we use. NAPLEX covers very wide basic knowledge an entry pharmacist should know. choose one of the materials and study as many times as you can, know brand and generic names, MOA, drug interactions, calculations, practice more patient profiles. I had about 3/4 questions are from profile. Hope it helps Good luck

    PLZ help me

The order is 2gram=2000mg of antibiotic, so 2000mg/ 300mg/2ml=13.3ml
  4. PNN course is PassNaplexNow, you can check the website: Pass Naplex Now for more details. I still have the materials, I want to keep them for future reference. There is also an online course offered by Rxprep. For people don't want to travel to CA, it provides the convenience to study at home anytime. It's very flexible and their book is also very informative. Even though we spend lots of money for NAPLEX, but for our foreign graduates, if we can invest the money and pass NAPLEX the first time, I think still worth it. Thanks Good luck
  5. I mean the questions of TPN in the 120 practice file are more difficult than the actual questions in the exam I had. So if you can manage the questions in that file and practice a few times, you will be fine for the calculation Qs in the real exam.
  6. Yes, but the TPN questions I had were easy ones, just basic calculations. You should know like 1g protein=4 kcal etc. I studied TPN from Rxprep book, PNN course, AphA book. Try to practice the 120 questions people suggested in the forum. The difficulty is harder compare with questions in the exam. Good luck
  7. Just passed both NAPLEX and MPJE (WA) last month. I have been checking this forum almost every day during my preparation. Got lots of useful information from this forum. Really thank your generous sharing. I graduated many years ago and didn't practice pharmacy after that. It's not a easy journey for me. But I did it, so I would say, if I can do it, you can also do it. Just keep studying, hard working will be paid off. I used AphA book, RxPrep book, Lange Q&A, I also attended PNN course. All of them are very good for NAPLEX. There are lots of profile questions in my NAPLEX exam, questions are from everywhere. I also had many filling in blank calculations questions. PNN course provides very detailed drug info which we could not pay attention if just reading APHA, the instructors are very dedicated to their job. They keep following up after the course to help me. Rxprep book is another very good material too, it has better content on how to counsel patients. So both resources have advantages by themselves. AphA book is like reference, too detailed. I practiced the questions after each chapter. For MPJE (WA), just using the 460 pages materials from the UW professor Fassett is enough. Plus practice some questions from the UW. Questions are very tricky, I was so worried after taking it. Hope everybody who prepares both exams can dream come true. Don't lose hope. Good Luck
  8. You don't need it. use APHA or Rxprep book for naplex.
  9. They will list the chat for conversion, we need to know which one to choose to calculate.
  10. I'm not sure what full score of MPJE is. Thanks
  11. It takes a long time to know insurance, there are so many insurance companies in US. When pt give you the card, check the BIN and PCN, put in the computer and search, normally it will list a lot ID abbreviations, if your computer has explanation after the ID, get more infor from the card and choose the most matched one, then put patient ID number, some of them need personal code. some of them also need Rx group number. Write down all the infor. for each insurance claim in your notebook ( which I carry with me every day in my pocket). After you collect many of them, make a excel, basically you have to remember them. For some popular insurance like Medco, United health, Aetna, Regence, after you often see these cards, it will get easier. It's hard in the beginning, when you collect more and write them in your note book. You will feel better. Last thing, if you still have questions after trying, call the number on the card and ask. It'll take time but it's the last way to get the correct billing infor. Hope it helps
  12. Impressive story! Congratulations for your success![clap] Did you take PNN course before your first try or after?
  13. Pray for you. Good luck
  14. Congratulations. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. Very helpful.
  15. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing. Did you practice other questions other than their quizzes? Is the statistics in the books enough for NAPLEX? Thanks
  16. APHA ISBN is 978-1-581212-159-8. the current edition is 8th. check barnes and nobles website. Lange Q&A is 978-0-07-149021-4. maybe 10th edition now. Hope it helps.
  17. I think it depends on which state you are in. Better check with the state board, give them a call. Some states do allow part time and no time limitation.
  18. I know how you feel because I also have the same experience. It takes time to be familiar with the handwriting of doctors. If you can't read them, ask others colleagues. You need to know the drugs which are often been used in the hospital, when you entry the Rx, you can also check the patient history to see if the have the same drug used before and make professional guess. There are certain doctors in the same hospital, after you read more of each doctor's handwriting, you will feel more comfortable.
  19. Hope you will pass, thanks for sharing your experience. People who feel the exam is hard most of them passed. You will have good news next week.
  20. (12gx100g/100g+50gx15g/100g)/(12g+50g)=31.5% w/w Hope it helps
  21. Congratulations Chellemi30! I sent you a PM, but your box is full, I would like to ask some information. Thanks
