Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion
When we are talking about information which can be found on the Internet we should take into consideration its purpose. This can be educational, informative or just curiosity, so that is why people have different opinions. While some persons consider that information might be misleading, others believe that it is very useful due to the possibility to access it quickly. Before finally asserting their view, people should analyze all the advantages and disadvantages of getting information from Internet.
The Internet offers us many advantages, especially for the informative and curiosity purposes. First, you can find what you need very quickly. Nowadays, people have access to the Internet through diverse means and from almost all the places, so they do not have to go to the library for trivial information. Second, you can find interesting forums with important opinions about your favorite hobby or different problems. These can help you a lot, because those people talk honestly from their own experience and they are not interested in giving only the good reviews as a publishing edition. Finally, the Internet gives us the opportunity to read foreign newspapers or magazines. It is very important for us to do this thing, because in this way we are aware about what is going around the world.
However, some people argue that accessing so much information is not useful. The first reason for this is that they think that it might be misleading. Anyone has the chance to write something on the Internet and we do not know their intentions. Moreover, students might deviate from their subject. Being so many websites there, they tend to access them, wasting their time. What is more, many people feel that they cannot select the right information. They cannot rely on website such as Wikipedia which has unknown authors, they should look for official publications.
To sum up, people may choose to get information for the Internet or not, although I do believe that in my case I can find valuable information even for an educational purpose. For me, new publications in the economics field help me do my projects without spending too much time or waiting for a book to be published. Whatever the choice, people should bear in mind that they should consult more sources about the same subject. Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information.
