  1. From the day I received the informal offer (the letter came 2 days after), I was given about 10 days to answer (it was the second half of March and they asked for an answer before April 1st). But if I had to guess, for someone receiving an offer later like this week, I would expect that they give less time due to practical reasons. For example, at my host University* you can only apply to the Visa until June 1st and there is also the housing allocation, etc, so probably they cannot wait much longer for a student to decide. Of course this may be different if you already have all these stuff sorted out. Anyway, this is just me guessing - you probably can ask Judith for an extension if you need and she will tell if it is possible or not. Feel free to drop a pm if you have more questions. * students at TI needs to elect one of the three mantaining universities (VU, UvA or Erasmus) as their host. It changes basically where you will be able to get housing (Amsterdam or Rotterdam).
  2. I'm sorry but I don't really have a piece of advice regarding TI x Rutgers... but if you decide to go to TI, send me a message! I already accepted my offer there :)
  3. Hi, everyone! I accept my offer from TI last week and first I would like to thank all the people that answered questions in this thread in the past, there is pretty useful stuff in here! :encouragement: I must confess that the comments about the econometrics track are not very encouraging... If someone has been there recently, do you mind telling if it is possible to survive without failing courses choosing this track? :sorrow: Also, is there anyone else accepted to start next September?
  4. Hi, everyone, sorry to bring the old thread from the dead, but I'm wondering if anybody has an estimate on the proportion of students who were interviewed and later receive an acceptance offer. I know from TI's website that they accepted in the last cohort ~8% of the applicant pool (roughly 25/300), but it would be nice to know how many from the 300 were interviewed.
  5. I haven't heard from them yet and I'm expecting a big round no from them since I am from South America, unknown recommenders and my quant GRE was not very good. My last name starts with S, so my guess is that they are going alphabetically (the GC conspiracies regarding ordering got into me, heheh).
  6. I applied to TI and also haven't heard anything from them yet. Not sure either if they sent an offer, as far as I know they first interview people before making offers and from GC it could be the case that the post from 02/20 was a troll because Feb 20 was the invitations from last year and somebody wanted to make everyone worse off overthinking things. But also could be that they already finished interviews, who knows. Either way, they have a priority round followed by a second one, just like Bonn. So it is early to loose hope.
  7. I applied for the first deadline this year and I'm freaking out regarding the interview post on GC, :miserable:. However, a friend of mine that applied last year in priority round said that s/he got the interview e-mail a few days after the first posts popped up on grad cafe, so I think we can have some hope even if other people start to get interview invitations before us. Good luck to us!
