  1. Well, according to information on the BCIS website, you need to file the I539 with the service center. The service center will depend on which state you are in.The california service center is currently processing cases with receipt dates of july 2002.I think they process it and once it gets approved then you need to go to an embassy.... There might be an alternative and easier procedure , Its better to ask an immigration attorney!
  2. I have heard a lot of people getting admits while in the final year,so the rumour is not true at all!!
  3. if you want to go from h4 to f1 you will have to file for change in non immmigrant status.however according to my information you will have to go to your home country to get it changed.I think the form is I 539.
  4. Yes its true. The room is filled with computers and people are taking different tests. You will be given earplugs by the ETS people. It is kinda distracting ....so before the test ...try taking some dummy tests with not complete silence in the background.. :)
  5. I think you should watch more of the news. There have been a lot of casualties from the coalition....Disturbing videos of american soldiers and graphic pictures of american soldiers being tortured were shown...i wont elaborate on that... Whenever there is war...there are people going to die on both sides. And lives are lives...no matter what nationality it be. And as far as inflicting damage...were the people who caused a mass damage to america on 9/11 geographically close to them??? no. Moreover, I cannot personally confirm this but all the news channels here show that these chemical and biological weapons were used against iraqi civilians themselves...and also on some neighbouring nations...unprovoked. Whether the media always protrays the truth or not ....who knows..... But no matter what the reason.Instead of some people blaming one side and some the other....I think the best is pray for peace and hope the world can come to a peaceful solution and live in harmony.....thats what we are doing at the protests. American people want peace.Iraqi people also want peace. The key to peace is in the hands of our leaders though!
  6. its only weapons of mass destruction (chemical and biological weapons)....not all weapons.
  7. Today 100,000 people in new york city alone are at protest....if we add chicago and SF and all the other places that might make it like a million ppl protesting......surely,this has to make some effect...or atleast we all hope so!!
  8. I dont think the visas will be stopped but expect long delays and lot of screening. There might be more rejects so all you visa guys please be careful and go prepared for your interviews. Good Luck!
  9. About 1000 people were arrested in SF alone yesterday for anti war protests, thats the largest number of arrests ever made in a day in the US .Chicago had an anti war protest which was the biggest ever in the US! Need I say anything more ......
  10. I think you guys shd read my post again..... I have clearly mentioned that those are the president and the government statements given to us in the US.Since someone asked about the news and statements made.....thats the only info I passed on....By no means in the above post have I made any statements or expressed any opinions of my own and I refrain from doing so. Thanks and plz do NOT involve me in any controversies.
  11. Hi Guys, Here in the US no one is happy about the war...But there is a bigger underlying thing ....... According to statements made by the government this is not a war. They are not attcking the Iraqi people, but they are disarming them from all those harmful chemical and biological weapons which can destroy the whole human race. After Sept 11 American became a different place. They are destroying the danger before it can destroy them. In his statement president bush said that it was his first duty to protect american people and this war was not directed at civilians but only at one man who is a threat to the entire world.
  12.
