i think your friends essay is okay i would give 4.0 but when u post please devide into paragraphs , introduction and conlclusion to look it better also ur friends essay consists now 230 words :)I personally would suggest to write about from 350-450 to get a good score! Of coz it has some grammatical errors and i would like to leave them to our native speaker of the forum for checkin' :) cheers...

Congradulation bscout you got awesome score:):):) Well when it comes to the University you are applying i guess it depends ,things like competition and some other situations ...I'm sure it's quite possible that they may do some exceptions ...Besides ur score is not much far from the required score. If I were you i would contact that University authority or anyone who is in charge of my addmission let them know abt ur score and they will tell u what u should do... I hope everything will be okay and you will get accepted buddy! BEST OF THE LUCK TO YOU IN UR ADDMISSION!!!

As to most it okay here... 3) in this sentence i found two errors:) make up & percent to.... should be makes up & percent of :rolleyes:

Thanks Powerslave for ur comments about ur experience , i think i got something from your advices:). and I agree that in the writing session it is worthless organasing thoughts is useless just wasting of time :) I had this experience in my last exam and got a very poor grade 3.5 in essay. This time i need to improve my writing skills. I hope i will be able to get around 250 , i need this score. Thanks once more... Best of the luck to you!!!

there's a toefl score calculator from Huns , u can find it somewhere here. it gives you easy calculation :) eeh i envy you ;) i wana get this kinda range ...
