1. it is pretty high.. around 85% or so. i also know a lot of students that got admitted into the phd program with any funding
2. There are many universities that have deadlines end of January. But most top 10 universities in CS have their deadline already passed i.e. December 15th. Brown University has a rolling admission for M.Sc and Ph.D
3. Purdue and Virginia Tech are difficult. Rest should be fine. Also apply to NJIT, IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology). They may be good back up schools.
4. You are being very ambitious with those universities. I highly suggest choose some lower ranked universities also.
5. Can you please provide some more background in order for us to help you. Such as kind of LOR, work/ research exp?
6. GRE scores dont get you into graduate school. There are lot of criteria and the overall application must be strong.
7. Hello friends, A friend of mine has applied for CS Graduate Program at McMaster and online the status has changed to the following:

ELIGIBLE: App. Available to Potential Supervisors Any idea what does this mean? Does it mean this person is accepted or another stage of review by the professor remains and then a final decision will be made? Thanks.

8. very good, make sure you bring this forward in your SOP.
9. hi, yes i did my bachelors from there. ISU has traditionally had/has good reputation in research in CS. Most of their professors have come to Canada for conferences and presenting their papers on machine learning and applied artificial intelligence. It is a great university and good prospects of getting into Ph.D and jobs in the valley.
10. Can you talk about the kind of research you have done in undergraduate? What courses did you take and how much research component did you have in them? Did you write any conference paper? How strong are your LOR? How good is your SOP? It will be great to have funding, but is this an issue for you?(for instance some ivy league schools such as Brown and Dartmouth give mass admit for M.Sc students, Dartmouth also provides 60% tuition waiver in first year and 100% tuition waiver in 2nd year). If you can provide some kind of background, maybe I can then suggest some safe schools.
11. i wish you luck, but it will be very difficult if you dont have good LOR or SOP or strong resume research oriented. Lots of competition now.
12. You should have applied to some safe schools. Your application is also strongly dependent on LOR and SOP.
13. ISU has a great CS reputation. Their M.Sc CS is only research based thesis.
14. You need to provide a lot more details on your profile to make some judgement.
15. did you get accepted from Gatech? Can you share your profile with us, thanks?
16. hey dont worry about IIT. You will definitely get in. Not sure about funding, but once you network with professors there, there is good chance you may get funding in subsequent semesters. good luck!
17. congrats to everyone getting in great schools!
18. Congratulations! Great university and great place.
19. you should also look at the new professional masters in computer science program at University of Toronto.
20. strong profile! Financial aid you can get from 2nd semester onwards. good luck!
21. u should have no problem to universities that you mentioned. Good Luck!
22. I dont think you will have any problem getting accepted in the universities that you mentioned. From your profile, it will be safe to say that you can aim for higher ranked universities. Graduating from higher ranked universities will allow you to make use of their career fair and increasing your chances of getting placements in industry. Good Luck!
23. Ok, I guess I was a little harsh with my words on GRE. From personal experience, I have noticed that 1250 ish + is a good score and anything more than that wont result in increasing your chances proportinally.
