repeated my exam again. same total score as before except that score in Q has gone upto 760 from 730 and score in V has gone down to 580 from 610. Which score is better, the older one or new one? since I wwant to do phd in comp science I was hoping new score is better? cos anyway for v, I hv gr8 score in toefl. in the range of 243-297.

u can try the barrons. their word list is quite comprehensive. also best way is to read books. even comics like superman and batman I have noticed since preparing for gre, contain lots of new words. wen you read such a word luk it up.

i would choose D as D is more specific in the bridge. remember reading in baron that a coven is a gathering or colelction of witches. congregation is not specifically a gathering of priests whereas a school is defintely a collection or group of fishes.

is answer for 4 B? trickle is a small flow of liquid whereas a gush is a big or large. bsically both words express opposite degree of flow, juz like warm and sear do for heat.

I took one mth to prepare and did worse then u. and tatz wen I had all the time to prepare. im sure your dad will be get prefectly well soon too.... you will be able to get to your dream school soon. and your essay pattern was exactly the same as mine from your description. infact was feeling so screwed up after first verbal that did my quant extra carefully without realising time was running out and so missed up on last 4 questions, didnt even get to them. and the second v was damn easy with small rc and stuff.

wa wondering if it most people reuse the same essay and just change the paragraph where they talk about the school and why they want to go there or do they tend to write from scratch. same goes for recommendation letters. especially as atlest in my case I have been asked to draft the letters myself. and if I even apply for 5 schools thatz 15 letters. I dun think I can come up with 15 letters without it luking as being written by the same person let alone 15 excellent letters.

does anyone know the answer to ebpp0's question? I was thinking of using essayedge, but I dare not risk it if it is considered unethical or illegal. any experience with this previously.

my answer is the same. but my logic was more like if you dun hv the text you hv to extemporize (prepare on the spot from wat you know). similarly if you dun hv the score then you hv to improvise based on wat you know abt the music.

but I remember getting this question in my actual gre. distinctly remember the word. so I guess it might have been adopted as a valid word now in the websters latest revision.

i was thinking abt fingernail and hands too.... I discounted lobe from ear because lobe is a part of the ear in the sense that it is not an extra outgrowth from the ear. itz the top of the ear. whereas nails ae extra growth from the ends of the hand juzt like a tail from the body.

guyz can you put up the reasoning for the answers. I didnt catch the logic there.

when we make a realtionship is it always necessary to make it from first word to second. cos the realtionship for improvements:mastery I thot off was that without mastery over somethign you will not make improvements to it. in which case without intentions to do something you will not practice. watz wrong in this line of thinking....

thx a ton guyz... you guyz are real moral boosters. am taking my toefls on monday. and hv reregistered for dec 1 for GRE also, to try and improve. will keep you guyz posted on this.

sorry, I forgot to mention my scores. verbal 610 and quantitative 730. I have not taken my subject gre. I didnt hv enuf time to even prepare for my general gre. only did study for a month. so I dun think ill be able to do the subject GRE justice.
