  1. use the a^-b^2 formula to simplify the given expression and you will get the answer.
  2. Since the number of test results is divisible by 100, the percentiles cleanly divide the total into 100 percentile groups of 300 ÷ 100 = 3 results each. That is, there are 3 results in each percentile. So 2 other results are in the same percentile as Dominick’s. Quantity A is 2. Dominick’s result is clearly in the 80th percentile, not the 79th or the 81st. So it must be possible to distinguish the 80th percentile (that group of 3) from the “next-door” percentiles. Say Dominick got a 58. How many other people could have gotten a 58? Maybe no one, maybe one, maybe two — but if three other people got a 58, then you’d have a total of four people with the same result. In that case, it would be impossible to assign Dominick’s result definitively to the 80th percentile and not the neighboring percentiles. So the maximum number of other test-takers with the same result as Dominick is 2. Quantity B is also 2
  3. What might the possible solution of this problem
  4. P=9 should work fine. Because you haven't restricted the value of q.
  5. Percentage is quite good if you choose the right university that matches your profile best. Your class rank is more important here. Because the grading system are not same for all the universities.
  6. Most of the graduate schools will take the highest scores. If they took the average then they will definitely mention it clearly on their web page.

    Set

    If the data set is 8,10,11,15,16,20,22,25 then Lower quartile (xL): 10.25, Median (xm): 15.5 & Upper quartile (xU): 20.5 E is true; D is false; C is true; B is false; A is true. If the data set is 8,10,11,16,17,20,22,25 then Lower quartile (xL): 10.25, Median (xm): 16.5 & Upper quartile (xU): 21.5 E is false; D is false; C is true; B is false; A is true If the data set is 8,10,11,16,19,20,22,25 then Lower quartile (xL): 10.25, Median (xm): 17.5 & Upper quartile (xU): 21.5 E is false; D is false; C is true; B is false; A is false. For me the answer is C. I took help from this site: Quartiles Calculator
  8. I am not sure but the answer may be C. The intersection of L2 line & the X axis, Y axis forms a right triangle. The length are 1,1 & sqrt(1^2+1^2) i.e. sqrt(2). If you draw a perpendicular from origin of the axis to the opposite of the intersected parts of L2 then (not sure) it will intersect in the middle point. Then the lenght of the half part will be sqrt(2)/2. Now just find the length of the perpendicular from x^2 = (1^2 - [{sqrt2}/2]^2)
  9. That will be enough. But follow all the tips & tricks while doing sentence/text completion. Please keep in mind that studying the meaning of tons of words does not guarantee you success. You should know about their use in the sentence and have to practice a lot,
  10. Q.1 Area of the shaded region = pi*R^2 - 3*pi*r^2 Area of the white region = 3*pi*r^2 => pi*R^2 - 3*pi*r^2 = 3*pi*r^2; => pi*R^2 = 6*pi*r^2; => R^2 = r^2*6; => R^2/r^2 = 6. Now square both column and you will get COL A = R^2/r^2 & COL B = 4, So COL A is greater.
  11. Doing entire word list does not guarantee you success in the Verbal part. You have to know the use of the words in a sentence as well meaning. That's important.
  12. Any language (any systematic means of communication) is a conspiracy against experience in the sense that it is a collective attempt to manage (Achieve something by means of trickery or devious methods).
  13. for the 2nd question just plug numbers to C=2 & D=4 and C=9 & D=15 and C=3 & D=6.May be option B is not always true.

    Circle

    The position of BC is not defined. X can be greater than 90 or less than 90. The answer is D.
  15. For quant concentrate on Data interpretaion and geometry. For the rest you don't have to worry. Leave those chapters of math which you don't understand at all.
  16. 15! - (14 * 2! * 13!) = 15*14*13! - (14*2*13!) = 14*13! (15-2) = (14*13!)*13 = 14!*13 15! - 14!*2 = 15*14!-14!*2 = 14!*(15-2) = 14!*13
  17. Total 20 oranges. The price is lowered by 40%. 40% of 12$ is 4.8$. So with 4.8$ you can buy extra 4 oranges. Now calculate for 24$ how many oranges you can buy? It is 20.
  18. 30ab = (2*5a)*3b or 30ab =5a* (2*3b). Now just put the values.
  19. No, because each section is allotted with individual time lines
  20. .2. [] = absolute value A B [a+b+c] [a]++[c] column B is greater. Because [a]++[c] always makes a positive number
  21. f(x)=x^2+2; f(2t)= (2t)^2+2 , given f(2t)=30, so (2t)^2+2 =30, (2t)^2= 28, 4(t)^2=28, t^2=7. so t will be definitely -root7 and root7.
  22. The probability is 1. just assign the players one by one to each of the 12 month. You can get in each month 2 players have their birthday. Now there are 4 players left. If you assign them in any of month the no of players having birthday in the same month will br 3 or more. So the probability is 1.
  23. the answer should be D. Suppose x=1 and y=1 then x+y=2 and a=4 & b=-1 then a+b =3. But if a=1 and b=-3 then a+b=-2.
  24. one's need to raise support and call the attention of the public for the success of the project. Rally is the best choice.
