  1. Once you take a few more higher level quant related courses, your stats will be on par with other applicants. What they will ask is why? What do you plan on doing with a MA in economics and JD degree? If you plan on doing anything business related, an MBA/JD joint degree would be the more versatile and acknowledged degree here. - Admissions Advice Online
  2. Hello, It may not have been just your GRE scores. What was your GPA? How was your personal statement and LORs? For the programs you applied to, your Verbal score is quite competitive. If you want, you can send over your SOP as I strongly believe that there was an issue there. - Admissions Advice Online
  3. Hello, Most programs will want to see a higher level of quantitative ability. This does not have to come in the form of Calc I, II or III per se, but you should have a demonstrated ability for high level analysis since that is a major part of marketing at the PhD level. -Admissions Advice Online
  4. Prof A is the better choice simply because he can speak to your ability towards leading a class. As a graduate student, you will be expected to teach so this prof will be able to shed some light on this aspect. - Admissions Advice Online
  5. You will have a good shot at LSE, how you structure your essays matters a lot there. -Admissions Advice Online
  6. Take courses to raise your GPA is it is on the lower side and/or improve your GRE scores if that exam is required for admissions. -Admissions Advice Online
  7. You should report it, especially since it is perfectly normal to career switch. Just remember that if you do decide to leave it off, universities can and WILL revoke your admissions and any degrees earned based on admissions granted by the submission or omission of academic credentials if later found out to not be honest. - Admissions Advice Online
  8. No, they will not know. The only person that will be notified of an incomplete application is the applicant(you). - Admissions Advice Online
  9. Hello, A GPA of 3.08 will be considered very low for many doctorate programs in the USA for admissions purposes. What do you want to study? I would advise you to maybe take a few courses to try to raise your GPA before applying. -Admissions Advice Online
  10. Hello, The MBA will be a more versatile degree and because of this, probably the best option. Since you are not sure exactly what you want to do, the MBA degree will allow you the option of continuing in economic forecasting or even switching sectors completely to pharma or marketing. So by just going off of what you wrote here, the MBA is the winner when it comes to which degree will be most beneficial to you. Student Visa

The student visa process will only start once you are accepted to a program. You need to apply to a school first and that school will normally help you with obtaining a student visa. For a free consultation to find out which schools are a best fit for the degree that you want to obtain, add us on Skype @ admissions_essay_advice Hope This Helps, Admissions Advice Online
  12. There is no major problem with having finished your bachelors degree in 2008. Actually having 4 years of work experience will be an asset to you as you will be able to bring real world experience and apply those to theories being studied in the classroom. Are you planning on working while completing a graduate degree or are you asking about finding work after you finish? Working during the degree will be the harder option and would probably only be allowed in your second year anyway. Finding a job in the United States with a top MBA or MS degree should not be hard, especially if you are quantitatively inclined. As for your spouse or future spouse, you will be allowed to bring her on your visa provided that you can prove you have sufficient funds for yourself, your studies, and for her. GRE scores Validity

In general, most schools will accept a score up to 5 years. However, schools really want to see scores that are 2 years or newer as they know these exams often times change greatly from administration to administration. Hope this helps, admissions advice online
