Hi Shruti,
I also use Barron's wordlist. IMHO, it's all depend on how much time you got? If you intent to memorize all 3500 words, you should memorize the 350 high freq words in one week only Then you can devote one or two months to memorize all the 3500 words.Well, that's just my opinion. Words memorizing... please read this post:
http://www.TestMagic.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10026 I myself have been struggling just like you, one method that I prefer is to make a group of words that has similar meaning. It eased (well... a little bit) the pain. We don't have to know the exact meaning, but at least when we're confronted with analogy or antonym questions we know the similar meaning. Hope it helps. thanx zulfi,
i am now just at the stage of finishing the 350 high frequency words...after memorising all those words properly I will going to increase my stock of words..... actually firstly I started with the barron's 50 wordlist but that seems very tough to me to memorise....and maximum time I was getteng bored with all those words...so I followed Ali's advice...and it's really worked. thanx shruti |
