  1. Hi forum, i have 6 years of work experience and yet to give GMAT, am in a very much perplex situation and wants to know whether this is the right time for me to give GMAT. Please suggest
  2. answer is E. if u c the conclusion carefully u ll come to know. " the government’s playing some role in the economy is disputed "
  3. Answer has to be "E" as both statements results in different answers. 1 --> K 2 --> K > M. so there is no definite answer
  4. 1) -x|x| > 0 for "-x|x|" to be +ve, x|x| has to be -ve... so x will be -ve.. which means x
  5. :tup:YEHAA was the one who is right cheers!

    Will - could

I stand with what Negma says. It should be option 'E'.
  9. I am just adding this for anybody reading this thread. The question asked is wrong.. instead of 2n its 2^n instead of 3n = (-3)n its 3^n = (-3)^n and its sqr 2 ^n
  10. My Answer is E as to make whole tense in past.(Crafted... and was..)
  11. I support for A as answers B,C and E say " it was thought in past and not anymore". A is better than(so need not explain why A)
  12. From 1: X-y =2000 From 2: X + PX/100 - Y -YP/100 = 2440 (X-Y) +P(X-Y)/100= 2440 Combining 1 & 2 2000 + P*2000/100 =2440 P=440/20=22 So it can be answered using both
  13. 1.|x-2|=1 implies x is either 3 or 1. So no single definite value 2. x^2 -4x +3=0 ( x^2 -3x-x + 3=0) x(x-3)-1(x-3)=0 (x-3)(x-1)=0 implies x is either 3 or 1. So no single definite value Even Combining 1 and 2 doesn't give single definite value. so Answer should be E
  14. I suppose Answer is B as for First statment we don't know the signs of x,y,r and s. Moreover there is no relation among all the 4. So we can't be answered with A
  15. :tup:thanks it is very useful post, though it was of ETS era ...still works good[clap]
  16. I suppose answer should be D(both are required) A. 5+6=6+5 or 5*6 = 6*5( so we have 2 operators + and *). In suff B. 2+0 = 2 or 2-0=2 ( so we have 2 operators + and - ). In suff But + is common for both. so operator is "+". what is your say guys ?
  17. hi I am giving it on 25 october ...my worry is verbal too ...we can exchange views ...all the best to you [clap]
  18. But the third value doesn't satisfy the condition X/Y > 1(-.5/-1) = 1/2
  19. hi I am nadeem. i am also trying for ISB. tell me have u ever taken GMAT?
  20. pls email the math material at irfan1729@yahoo.com
  21. anybody from ahmedabad giving GMAT in the near future
  22. Although the write up is good, there are certain things GMAT looks for in the structure. First few lines should typically state what the 'issue', to show that you understand the meaning. Then you would have to take a side (agree or disagree). Then move on to the second & 3rd para to support your position. And then conclude. This is just my input....and i think with GMAT it is better to play it safe and follow the pattern rather than get extremely creative. Hope this helps...
