  1. All I used was Cifaldi's law book and the regulations posted on NJ BOP and I passed with 84.
  2. I volunteered in a private pharmacy too. But unfortunately, you would need to be registered with the BOP in order for your hours to be counted. So SSN is required.
  3. Can you get your license in Florida first, then reciprocate to NJ? Check with NABP, see what's the procedure for doing that
  4. Pharmacy exam NJ MPJE practice exam CD is available for sale. Contains 150 questions. Retail price $60. Asking $35. Kindly PM if interested. Thank you.

  6. I passed my Naplex this week and I'm selling my RxPrep question bank. I used the question bank + Lange Q & A. It is sufficient for me to pass. Please PM for details.

  8. Thank you all. Now that I've passed, I can say that the 120 math calculations were really helpful and it is all you need for naplex. The 2200 qbank was a good practice!! PM me if you are interested in the qbank.
  9. I passed Naplex with 102!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooooooooooo happy!!! Thank you for the prayers!! I must say this forum helped me through both FPGEE and NAPLEX. If there's anything I could help, just let me know :encouragement:
  10. I passed Naplex with 102!!!!!! Soooooo happy!!!!
  11. Shree, nearly half of the calculations were fill in the blanks. Most calculations were dose conversion, infusion rates, dilution.
  12. I just gave my Naplex last Friday. Would like to share my experience. I finished my internship in end of Feb and started studying full time from Feb till mid-April. I used APHA, Rxqbank, Lange Q & A. Here are my thoughts of the exam. It is more difficult that I'd expected it to be. There are a lot of profiles, mainly on drug drug interactions, side effects. Dosage forms is very very important. As I've only worked in a retail pharmacy for 8 months, there are a lot of drugs which I'm not sure of their available dosage forms. So do spend some time on this. But if you have been in retail for some time, it'd be a piece of cake. As for the topics, I must say that the questions came from almost every topic in APHA, except biotechnology, kidney disease, organ transplantation, toxicology/bioterrorism. Do focus on mental drugs, cancer drugs and anti-HIV drugs. These cannot be ignored, especially brand names. Calculations: I had about 30-50 questions. They were not difficult. Just be careful of the units. Besides, read about immunizations. Other than multiple choice questions, there are 'select all that apply' questions. Math questions are mostly fill in the blank. Overall, the exam was difficult but doable. Know everything from MOA, side effects to interactions. Last advice is to manage time appropriately. My time was tight and I almost couldn't finish the exam. Reading and analyzing patient profiles is very time consuming. I have not got my results yet. I'm very very nervous. My next step is to take NJ MPJE. If anyone has advice on the study materials, please let me know, appreciate it :) Good luck everyone!
  13. You know that is weird. Usually NABP will only send you the ATT after receiving all documents from ECE. You should really call them and clarify!
  14. I took my naplex today. Almost similar to Aleksandra's. Lots of chemotherapy, HIV, calculations, TPN, infusion rates, conversions, side effects, drug-drug interactions.
  15. Hi Happy pill, congratulations!!! Happy for you! I just took my naplex today. Similar to Aleksandra's situation. Feel like its difficult and did a lot of educated guessings. How long did it take to get your results?
  16. I'm practicing Lange's questions..Came across two chapers (compounding and pharmaceuticals)...how important are they in real naplex? My exam is next week while doing these 2 chapters, the difficulty pushed me to the edge where I don't know the answer to most of them. Can anybody shed some light on this?
  17. Congratulations Aleksandra!! :) Looks like they took only 1 day to post your score?
  18. I'm taking my NAPLEX exam next week in NYC. Any last minute advice/tips? They are greatly appreciated! I read APHA once since 2 months ago, but I made notes. I practiced all the 2200 questions in Rxqbank. I did the 120 math calculations posted in the forum. I started questions in Lange Q & A. Now I'm reading my notes over and over again. I scored 92 in pre-naplex, which I'm not very confident. I feel like whatever I read now is not going into my brain. Any advice please.......
  19. Thank you Aleksandra, I really appreciate it! :) Keep us posted about the result, praying for you that you will pass! Good luck!
  20. Thank you for sharing. I'm giving NAPLEX next friday. You mentioned antiviral meds and chemotherapy. As far the level of difficulty of the questions are concerned, how far do you think I should study? I'm thinking drug-drug interactions, side effects for these two topics. Are they enough?
  21. As far as what I've experienced, they want social security number + proof of eligibility to work. So I assume EAD card is a must. As for the internship hours, it does not matter whether it was on OPT or other visa status as long as you are allowed to work in USA.
  22. Hi forum users, I need help on infectious disease topic. I practiced the questions in RxPrep qbank but was not able to do more than 60% of the questions in Infectious Disease topic. Can anyone suggest a study material for this topic? Perhaps someone could share the lecture in RxPrep on this particular topic please? My exam is 3 weeks away and I'm stumped.
  23. Panku96, I completed my internship on 1-year OPT. So it is doable. NJ requires 1440 hours for foreign graduates, must not be completed in less than 34 weeks. Maximum hours per week is 45. So if you work 40 hours a week, the total duration comes up to about 8-9 months. It takes about 1-2 months to get the intern license, so start early. Apply for OPT 3 months before you graduate and start looking for pharmacies. Once u get the EAD card, apply for a social security number.
