  6. Hi Guys I am doing my research on the documents I would need to apply for NAPLEX and CPJE and I came across their ID requirements. Can somebody help me please. according to California board website the ffg are the options ( at least 2 from these) US State, Commonwealth, or Territory issued driver’s license or identification card  US government issued passport  US social security card (cannot be laminated)  US military-issued identification  National identity card Should everything be a US issued ID? like the territory issued driver's license or ID card and the national identity card I am not a US citizen which is why I don't have those just the SSN , but I was wondering what qualifies for national ID

  10. there might be an opportunity here in a pharmacy where I am currently doing my internship but the owner wanted a face to face application. This is a paid internship here in Cali
  11. I am also looking for a place to do my internship. Anybody knows an independent pharmacy? I am Canadian I can apply via TN but I would need an offer letter. Thanks
  12. hello pineapples, First you need to check the documents that you need to submit to PEBC. The first exam that you will take is called the evaluating exam. After you pass that exam you can pursue and take the next one w/c is part of the qualifying exam for pharmacist. It is called MCQ which is written exam and OSCE which is an oral exam. The complicated part is the internship. This would depend on what province you choose to do this. To date BC and Toronto would require you to join the IPG bridging program before you can do your internship. this link might be helpful what-steps-to-licensure
  13. anybody knows any internship position in Washington?
  14. Hi ivanmb I believe that there was a cut off time not sure if it was 2003 or 2004. They changed the requirement for those foreign grads who fall on the said year. The requirement is 5 year instead of 4, but if you were a graduate before that then it doesn't matter if you finish a four year pharmacy course
  15. Hi Felicity, were you able to get a California intern license? in case you did how? as I am also Canadian and have applied for the intern license since January. However, now I am in the middle of unending correspondence with the Pharmacy board. I am done with the fingerprints and everything, but cannot get an SSN. I am just confused as they keep on sending me the same response that SS number is mandatory. I got a license in Washington without SSN they just asked me to fill a deficiency letter. Anyways I would appreciate any information you can help me with.
  16. hey guys, I been holding on my Washington intern license, but I cannot seem to find any pharmacy to do my internship.
  17. Hmm I used to hear a lot of people comparing both exams. In fairness to what has been said I was wondering how come the Canadian Pharm D is not recognized in the US? I realized this when I joined UBC bridging course and a classmate asked one instructor if she can pursue pharm D here in Canada and use it in the US? He (instructor) related his story that he needed to do US pharm D in order for him to be recognized in the US besides already being a Pharm D here in Canada. Regarding salary, I don't believe it is just a small difference. In California, Wall greens pays their pharmacist interns $40/hour in 2008. Guess how much it would be once you become licensed. Here Shoppers drug mart gives an Rph a starting salary of $35-37/hr. I cannot help but ponder if those people who are saying Canadian board is tougher if they had even tried, or got their license In the US?
  18. hello guys, I am also interested. I got my FPGEC last Dec 2012, and would be a Canadian citizen soon. I wanted to know in advance if there are still chances for getting internships. Thanks
  19. hello everyone, I didn't experience a long wait to get my certificate. I passed TOEFL IBT last year Nov 3 and I got my certificate before they closed for the holidays
  20. An H-4 visa is a visa issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to immediate family members (spouse and children under 21 years of age) of the H-1B visa holders.[1] USCIS allows immediate family members of H visa holders (H-1A, H-1B, H-2A, H-2B, or H-3) to get H-4 visas to lawfully come and stay in the US. These visas are usually issued at the local US consulate office abroad. However, if the person is already in US, he or she can obtain H-4 status by filing Form I-539 for change of status.[2] H-4 visa holders are not eligible to get a Social Security Number and cannot be employed, but they can hold a driver's license, open bank accounts, and get an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number for US tax purposes. To be able to do an accredited internship, you would need a social security number although I think you can do volunteering, but it won't count.
