    Thanks Golddust for the clarification.I too was having a similar doubt.Now I understand its basically a requirement based on university and course.
  3. Accept the fact that you got the low score and move on.If you are planning to take GMAT again,you know you need to intensify your preparation.You can start from where you are now,plan well and work hard Im sure you are going to get higher score next time.
  4. Practise model tests simulating the actual test taking.More you practice and analyse your performance,you are going to improve faster.And dont forget to take quick revisions whenever you find little intervals of time.

    Hi Sona....As you mention "Don't lock your doors with a boiled carrot"...lol You should be happy with what you scored now and work harder to reach higher scores so that you can only be happier.

  10. Reading many examples of the word being used will help you remember it. According to a web site, making up your own examples can also improve your memory of words by 670%.

  13. Can some one tell how important are the GRE subject tests for getting admissions to top universities.I generally find most people going for GRE test but not many for the GRE subject tests.Any specific reason for that.
  14. I prefer to have my mobile free from wordlists....Well I mean when I study I have my mobile off,when I dont study its on,so these two factors dont complement eachother very well.Personal,for me I use Vocabulary Learning Resources its free and avaible online.
  15. As mentioned in the previuos post.Both sections are equally important to get admission in a good university.Though for some universities,the weightage given may vary slightly based on the course you apply for.
  16. Well,it really depends on how much one digests and gets out of it with respect to how the words are used and the suitable contexts along with the words synonyms and antonyms.If ones really good with each of these things why not 800.Is should be very much possible.

Since you have just 20 days,may be you can have some video or audio lectures,they can be available for free online with sites like GRE Vocabulary Home and have them on,make a note of words and how they are used roughly on a scrap paper.Revise them.That should help you,when time available is short.
  18. Hi Hudson, Barrons book along with GRE Vocabulary Home is a good enough combination to get you through the examination.Though I havent used Big book,I was told it is a good book as well.

  23. Well,if I have to choose I would go for Barrons material and http://www.grevocabulary.org.The combination is good enough.I hope this helps you make up your mind fast and start your preparation.Good Luck.

    Help GRE

    Well,GRE is more of an aptitude test and the books like barron and some sites provide you a preparation base for this,once you are done with this,then you need to practice,practise hard ,may be using some testing softwares,though they may not give you exact questions,but more or less similar questions can be expected based on your performance.
