  1. Hi Aleks! They issued new ones and sent them in directly to the ECE. Your best bet would be contacting ECE directly and asking if they are fine with copied and notarized documents. :)
  2. Hi Sabri20, the LAK RLP sent me a list of the topics from the berufsbegleitende Unterricht with the hours for each topic (e.g. "Nutrition and Dietetics - 5 hours"), AND also one about the topics from the practical part of the PJ. They included a cover letter explaining that I successfully completed the PJ and when, and explained how it is structured in Germany: ThePractical Year comprises a 12-month practical training in which theknowledge gained in university studies is to be deepened, broadened, and practically applied. At least 6 months must be completed in aretail pharmacy, as required by the German Pharmacy Practice Act(AAppO §4). All the best!
  3. Hi! LAK RLP sent me a document about the berufsbegleitenden Unterricht with topics and amount of hours for each topic (e.g. "Nutrition and Dietetics - 5 hours"), and also the topics in the 12-month practical internship. They also included a cover letter explaining the PJ in Germany. It went like this:
  4. I'm from Mainz, too! Awesome! I'll try to make this as detailed as possible, because there was a LOT of back and forth with both ECE and NABP :( What I sent to ECE: Cover letter explaining that the original Proof of Degree (Staatsexamendsendzeugnis and License) will arrive in the next weeks from LSJV Document matching form with my infos and Reference Number Marriage certificate (for name change) License (Approbationsurkunde) copy + translation + translator's certification Official transcripts from Uni in a sealed envelope 1. Staatsexamenszeugnis-copy + translation + translator's certification 2. Staatsexamenszeugnis-copy + translation + translator's certification 3. Staatsexamenszeugnis-copy + translation + translator's certification Staatsexamensendszeugnis-copy + translation + translator's certification Documentation by Landesapothekerkammer Rheinland-Pfalz about the contents of my internship, issued in English with original signatures and stamps, in a stamped sealed envelope As far as I remember, ECE does a great job of listing everything you need to send them, so pay attention to that. They are also quick to reply and answer questions. Please note that they want the original translations, with original stamp and signature on translator's certification and original stamp on each translation with date. For the internship stuff, contact Joachim Thoss at the Apothekerkammer Mainz, he is SO helpful and now knows what do write into the document, and he did it in English :) In general, for everything that ECE and NABP want in a stamped and sealed envelope, request an additional copy for you. What I sent to NABP: Cover letter explaining that they got my original license (Approbationsurkunde) from LSJV on June 25th 2018 and my name change Attestation page with photo, notarized Extra photo License (Approbationsurkunde) copy + translation + translator's certification Copy of passport, notarized Marriage certificate copy, notarized NABP complained that my middle name was not on the original documents, and requested proof that I'm the same person. I explained that the documents have my birth date and birth place on them, and sent them a certified photocopy of my birth certificate as proof along with its original translation. They also complained that my license (Approbation) was issued by LSJV and not the Landespruefungsamt, to which I explained that this is the issuing body in Mainz, they belong together and are in the same building, and it was even signed by the same person as my Staatsexamenszeugnisse. That cleared that up. I felt like I was the first person ever applying from Mainz. I know it's overwhelming but I hope this will spare you the problems I had. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!
  5. Yes, they are! Your documents will be evaluated by ECE, and they will send their evaluation to the NABP. You also have to register for an NABP e-Profile, where they will update you on your application status, what is missing etc. Here are some infos, make sure to study the FPGEE bulletin thoroughly: FPGEE | National Association of Boards of Pharmacy One little tip, the NABP is going to need a document from your university about your 1 year internship, listing all the subjects with the hours that you had to take during the internship. I didn't get such a document and had to request for it to be made from my university. As of right now, they offer the exam only once per year in October. Another new thing is that you have to pass the TOEFL first. Changes to FPGEC Certification Program Coming in 2020 | National Association of Boards of Pharmacy
  6. Hi, the passing score is 75/150, however not all questions are weighted the same (more difficult questions are worth more points), but you don't know how many points a question is worth during the exam. The calculator was super basic. The software itself had a calculator you could use with your mouse, but we also got a super basic dollar-store type calculator to use. It was easy to use, nothing special.
  7. The FPGEC bulletin is helpful https://nabp.pharmacy/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/FPGEC-ApplicationBulletin-2019.pdf I also sent you an e-mail. Feel free to ask me anything.
  8. So, I am now applying for April 2019. In the bulletin, it says that you have to send your license to NABP and your proof of degree to ECE. I understand that "license" in Germany is probably the "Approbationsurkunde", but what exactly is our proof of degree? I just have an "Examenszeugnis" of each Staatsexamen and one "Zeugnis ueber die Pharmazeutische Pruefung" which was the last one. Is this our proof of degree? Technically, in Germany the Approbationsurkunde is the proof that we are pharmacists... :dejected:
  9. I'm not in Germany anymore, I'm in SC. I wrote an e-mail again saying this is the way the NABP wants it (along with a screenshot of the instructions in the bulletin) and I've never heard anything about "Verifizierungsunterlagen", and then he asked me to send him copies of my certificates. I think they just had no idea what to do in such a case :D Let's see what happens next.
  10. I sent the same request (my exam certificates and degree in a sealed envelope) to the Landesamt and got this disappointing response: "ich bitte Sie, sich an die Behörden in den USA zu wenden. Die zuständigen Behörden werden uns dann die entsprechenden Verifizierungsunterlagen zusenden." What does that even mean? Have you been in contact with your Landesamt?
  11. Thanks! After almost 3 weeks I got a response from the NABP with a copy&paste of their website :) They also say we should contact the FPGEC directly with specific questions regarding our situation by regular mail or fax.
  12. I planned on doing it as fast as I can, meaning this fall. I just hope the application will go through smoothly, and we also have to take the English test. And find some good material and books to study :) What about you?
  13. Yep, you are right. They told me they can only include my classes from university and the grades of the state examinations (from the scans I sent them). For the state examination certificates and approbation I have to contact the Landesamt fuer Soziales. It will be ready in about 2 weeks and they will send me a preview to review it.
  14. Yes. I studied in Mainz and my certificates were issued by the Landesamt fuer Soziales, I only have 1 original of each here with me. I guess we will need 1 of each in both sealed envelopes 🙄 I have asked our Studienbuero what to do about it, because they previously said they have some experience. If they can't take care of it, I will just ask the Landesamt if they can do the whole sealed and stamped envelope shenanigans with all of my Staatsexamen papers and approbation 3 times 😀
  15. Thank you. Did you get your "supporting documentation" (proof of degree and transcripts) from your German university yet? It is quite a hassle, they told me that they have to make them individually with all the classes I have taken and estimate when they were. Also it has to be in a sealed envelope with a stamp etc., just like they said in the Application Bulletin. If I understood correctly, we need this document package 3 times - twice sealed (one for FPGEC application, one for the ECE application) and one for us to get it translated. Good to hear you have connections! I hope he will be able to help us with this whole process. Just let me know if you learn something interesting :)
