    got rejected from all my PhD schools (well still a few pending but most likely rejections will only arrive in April which is what those schools always do). Decided to do a Social Science master (& spend another 40k+ tuition) before applying again in two years time. Congrats to those who got accepted! Good luck to those who still have a chance of acceptance! All the best!

    Hey mate, For micro-OB It appears that INSEAD has given out both 2 acceptance and waitlists but not rejection... (oh gosh I loooove their program so much... :( NYU Stern & Columbia - both sent out interviews.

    I was previously thinking about this question. But it does mean that you get into at least one funded PhD program! I am currently in the process of waiting for the only interview left for me which I initially considered as my "safety" school coz I only truly like that one (that only one) professor's research at the school. (the school that my advisor didn't even consider that I would apply. and I'm sorry that I might have disappointed my advisor.) I applied to some social science master programs this app season but those programs do not give early notice and I'll have to wait until April to know the results. (keep my fingers crossed) Don't lose hope, mate! everything is possible (coz you haven't received confirmed rejections)!

    Thanks for the posting! Just curious... did the HBS micro-OB rejection come from the POI directly & privately? or is it presumption? coz it appeared that my friend finished second round of interviews not long ago....

    Thanks so much for the reply! All the best to you!! I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed & hope miracle could happen. I still have one flyout interview (top 50-ish biz school?) so I guess there's a still chance of PhD for me...

    I knew someone has received interviews from all these three schools. micro-OB... well the same person has received multiple offers from other top schools already...

    wow! that is an impressive list of schools that you've interviewed! I wonder if you could share a bit more on the process for USC & NYU (OB). Do you happen to know if USC Marshall invites all potential students for on-campus interview or it is done individually? I heard that NYU has sent out invites to all potential students for on-campus interview near the end of Feb? Thanks!

    if you are referring to W School's micro-OB, the interview invites were sent out mid-Jan & look out for phone calls from Philly. If you did not receive interview invite but did not receive email to check decision, did you check on your application portal as well (if rejected, the letter is in your app portal)? If not, I guess it might still be a good chance that you are not really rejected (& maybe still in their consideration)...

    @instajar & @BrazilianPhD Thanks for the reply! btw... Some OB program updates that I have heard of: 1. truly top-top Management (micro-OB) has given out offers. (the one that gave out rejection letters last week. If you did not receive rejection letter last friday but have yet to receive calls, it probably is gonna be a relatively good news??) 2. another truly top-top Micro-OB program are in the process of final round of interviews. Since this school said explicitly that all accepted students must receive interviews during their webcast info session, if you did not receive any interview, I guess... well... I just hate that... why cant they just give out straight rejection from the beginning and only keep those advancing to the next round. 3. an top European school has given out interviews

    I followed someone on Twitter who is quite famous/popular/"well-known" among the profs/phds/pre-docs.. but I wont say who coz I guess this is a pretty small circle... I had an interview earlier this week... the invite sent out at 5pm-ish, confirmed my interview timeslot at 8pm-ish & had my interview on the following day at 5pm-ish.... almost no time to prepare at all.... is it the usual interview scheduling? Saw someone already posted the same school's interview invite on gradcafe. I will add mine later as a reference.

    My friend did that for some schools last year. Basically asked about methodology, strengths & weaknesses, how to follow up... blah blah blah... Well it was completely up to POI/interviewer ... is it the case that "your friend" is actually you? jklol anyways, good luck!!

    Okay... I presume top micro-OB programs have started on-campus round of interviews???... (saw someone's tweet... who is for sure gonna get a bunch of good offers) I guess no interviews means ... well whatever ... Good luck to those who received on-campus interviews!!

    I think those who have received interviews are just not posting... Someone I know has received on-campus interviews and Skype interviews (top-tier programs). It's just that it aint me... so I am not in the position to reveal which shcools. being an ostrich burying head in the sand of no news for myself...

    Hi op, is the invitation for this round of interview already out? i don't wanna get my hope too high coz I heard if no initial interview = instant rej (all accepted must go thru interview process? Thanks!
