  1. Worths to check if you want to certificate your math level via prestigious institution. Mathematics | University of London
  2. If tuition fee is not a concern: Bgse>pse>science po=warwick>manchester>QEM=bologna
  3. Non of the rankings is perfect, but for referance another ranking by subfields can be accessible at Rankings All economics rankings and academic researh on rankings can be found at https://www.aeaweb.org/resources/students/grad-prep/program-rankings
  4. 3 days ago, Warwick's student coordinator of my region also contacted me. I think I am going to request information about external scholarships as well. They seem to me quite helpful, too. No update from PSE yet. I think they even can accept off the waitlist in June. I seached PSE on thegradcafe and found that there were many applicants who was accepted off the waitlist, which is encouraging.
  5. My current interest is micro, so PSE sounds better. According to repec top instutitions list PSE is better than BGSE in micro and worse than it in macro, which supports your recommendation. Thanks for your help! Probably, I am going to choose PSE over BGSE.

  7. Thanks for your reply. I also think that BGSE and PSE are a little bit better than the other three. Although cost of living in Barcelona pretty less than that in Paris, BGSE's tuition fee is €16.000 and PSE requires only €500 as tuition fee. BGSE's programme is for 9 months, but PSE's programme is for 2 years. Consequently, the total cost of both programmes is almost same for me. I am going to lose 1 year if I choose PSE over BGSE, but probably I will be more ready for PhD thanks to the extra 1 year in Paris. I am really indifferent between these two programmes and need help to choose.
  8. I also think that the quality of these programmes are pretty similar, so a choice based of financial aid and field of interest make sense. In the UK, it is almost impossible to get financial aid if you are not from a commonwealth country. Also, tuition fee of most of the schools is pretty expensive for non-EU students. PSE and Bonn are almost for free. However, curently I have no appectence from these two.
  9. Thank you for your reply cookiemonster! First of all, congratulations for your acceptances, too! Have you been also accepted in MSc Economics programme? I didn't know that MSc students in the UK can do a research or teaching job. I am going to send an e-mail as well. Thanks for sharing about Warwick.
  10. I have been accepted to MSc in Economics programmes at Warwick, Barcelona GSE and QEM erasmus mundus (one semester in bielefeld university and 3 semesters in Sorbonne). I have also waitlisted by APE programme at Paris School of Economics and I'm waiting for results from Bonn Graduate School of Economics. I would like to pursue a PhD in economics at a top 20 economics department probably in the US and my main academic interests are microeconomics (mainly decision theory, industrial organisation and game theory) and labour economics. Can you please rank the schools that I mentioned above ( Warwick, Barcelona GSE, QEM, PSE and Bonn) considering my interests and goals.
  11. I am going to be graduated from economics and management programme confucted by LSE and UoLIP. I expect a 2.1 or 1.1. I didn't get any scholarship, but applied an external scholarship and waiting for results. The first round results were announced at the beginning of February. The application deadline of BGSE is earlier than other programmes in the europe. I think, it was 15 of January. You can check their website and thegradcafe for further information. As far as I know, only schools in Spain, the UK and the netherlands require application fees, so basicly you can apply to PSE, TSE and Bonn for free. However, some of them requires additional documents like birth certificate, list of readings and curriculum of the lectures you have taken. Preparing these stuff is quite time-consuming, which means a non-financial cost for application. Therefore, I advice you to start your application process as early as possible.
  12. As a current bgse offer holder, I am pretty sure that you'll get accepted to bsge economics programme. The funding seems quite competitive, so I am not that much sure about funding. According to their website, 1/3 of offer holders have full or partial scholarship, so you might have a chance. I definitely recommend you to apply for bsge because of their placement success. When it comes to oxbridge, as far as I know Oxford is better than Cambridge in economics. The other master programmes that you can consider are CEMFI, PSE, TSE, UCL, Bonn, Tinbergen and maybe QEM erasmus mundus.
  13. I am an international applicant who have been waitlisted by PSE for APE M1 programme. I really want to be got an offer for this programme so I would like to increase my chance if possible. I have already sent an e-mail to ask my ranking in the waitlist, but they didn't reply. What should I do to increase my chances of getting off the waitlist? Do you think it is okay to send an e-mail to coordinator and explain my strong interest? I would be really grateful if those have any experience with PSE or waitlists answer my question.
