    Did people receive such notices regarding application being reviewed or ready for review? :miserable: they said decisions would be available much later...does this mean no interview and straight up rejection lol :cold:[w00t]

    I see thank you :) when you mentioned that "this may not apply to T20 or even T30 schools," did you mean that they mass email just to increase the number of potential rejects lol haha that's a smart way of making themselves more competitive haha :watermelon:

    Thank you! LOL why would they do this though if they're not even interested in people :miserable: annoyed... I haven't even started an application with them...didn't have the gut to :( guess I'll pass then :cold: Lol in hindsight might as well do my best...lol very self-conflicted now :upset:

    Hey Friendz, so I wonder if this is a sign that someone is really interested or another mass email reminder of application deadline? Very confused right now :( bc the school who did this seems pretty hard to get in and that's what deterred me from even thinking about applying in the first place...:wallbash::gray::ninja:

    Woo your idea's great! I had the opposite situation of a school reaching out to me in the first place...I responded with my info and a question but they seemed really swamped with other things so it might take them a long time to reply (or even not) :( not sure if I should proceed or if they just mass email candidates :/ lol anyway...was it pushy for me to send my info in such a scenario?

    I agree. I think this is very right about prestigious schools?? I can imagine how they receive a ton of all-star applications :P and will probably be annoyed if people ask about things they can find on the web page. But I guess this may work for newer programs or schools that actually want to recruit expansively to meet new people...but in the end the profs will decide whether they'll take anymore though :( :grief:

    I understand some professors might it take it against the candidate, but did anyone (who's currently pursuing a PhD) reach out to the program coordinators before applying? If so, did that help in any way? Thanks!

    YaSvoboden, thanks for your kind words! I had previously thought I wouldn't even be in the ballpark...(being a nerd generally gives me low self-esteem haha :() I'll definitely familiarize myself more with the lifestyle/application process and etc...thank you!
